00:00The NEC is packed with people and dogs of every breed, from towering Great Danes to
00:07tiny Chihuahuas.
00:09The atmosphere is lively with competitions, trade stands and breed showcases filling the
00:14halls.
00:15Agility courses are testing speed and precision, while breed judging is all about form and
00:20temperament.
00:21Every ring has something different happening and there's no shortage of excitement.
00:26The Visitors' Crufts is more than just a show, it's a celebration of everything people
00:30love about dogs.
00:32Some are here to compete, others to watch and many just to enjoy the experience.
00:36With so much happening there's plenty to take in.
00:39So what's bringing people here and what do they make of this year's event?
00:44The favourite part about Crufts is meeting friends of a like-minded persuasion.
00:51It's a bit, it's the culmination of the year, the dog show, it's just, it's a celebration
00:56of dogs.
00:57Firstly meeting my castor owners, but also discover dogs and I would be over there if
01:04I wasn't here, so yes.
01:08I'm probably seeing everybody because I don't know, well I don't know about you, but I live
01:13quite away so I don't see a lot of my breed all the time, so it's quite nice to catch
01:19up with people I wouldn't normally see.
01:22So for us it's raising awareness about our not-for-profit Dogs for Wildlife, so getting
01:26all the people at Crufts to realise the purpose of dogs and being able to raise awareness
01:32of the plight of a lot of animals that are suffering in Africa.
01:36Everywhere you look there's something happening.
01:38One minute it's a high-speed fly ball race, the next a carefully judged obedience trial.
01:43The event isn't just about competition, it's also about education and discovery.
01:48The Discover Dogs area is a favourite for visitors, giving them the chance to meet over
01:52200 breeds up close.
01:54It's a place to ask questions, learn about responsible ownership and maybe even find
01:59the perfect breed for their home.
02:01There's also plenty to buy with stalls selling everything from dog food to high-tech training
02:06gadgets.
02:07Whether it's a competition or just a fun day out, visitors have plenty to explore.
02:12There's so much to see, but what's standing out the most to visitors this year?
02:19Some of the two breeds that were in our ring before, watching some of those was very nice.
02:24I've never owned those breeds, but they look superb.
02:28Well, my coffee dog, as far as Crufts, was the best puppy dog in breed, so that was pretty
02:35exciting.
02:36Well, I can't really think of anywhere else there would be so many dog lovers in one place,
02:43so it's a non-stop dog chat all day, which is ideal for small businesses and big businesses
02:51as well.
02:52So, yeah, I think it's probably one of the best places to meet new customers as well.
