00:00Analysts say that the decision of the Chief Minister of Pulau Pinang, Chow Korniaw, to compete in the position of Central Executive Power at the AP, indicates a revival of his political convictions.

00:12Azmi Hassan from the Nusantara Academy said that Chow's uncertainty about the level of support in the party may have affected his decision not to compete in the election at the AP Pulau Pinang last year.

00:26However, Azmi's opinion on Chow's desire to defend the CEC chair shows that he is now confident in getting strong support not only in Pulau Pinang but also at the national level.

00:39Azmi also suggested that Chow's latest steps may show his readiness to compete in the upcoming general election.

00:48Ahmad Fauzi Abdul Hamid from the University of Science Malaysia said that Chow's actions are a pragmatic step to maintain his influence at the national level.

00:59On February 23, Chow announced that he would compete in the CEC election on March 16, stating that the leadership position is important because he still holds the position as Chief Minister.
