00:00Disagreement in the DAP led to the election of a party at the root of the conflict between the veteran party and the young leader,

00:09said political analyst James Chin from the University of Tasmania.

00:13He said the younger force among the ruling party leaders encouraged the DAP to erase the image of the backer and become the mainstay to attract the interest of the Malay voters.

00:24Chin said it was an intergenerational conflict, not about ideology, because all parties in the DAP supported the vision of the party, namely Malaysian Malaysia.
