00:22Speaking at the fire site, he urged the public not to panic, assuring them that the situation
00:27was under control.
00:29Black smoke was visible up to five kilometres away, including from the North-South Expressway
00:34plus towards Surremban.
00:37The massive blaze destroyed a carpet manufacturing factory.
00:41According to the Fire and Rescue Department, 58 firefighters from Nilai, Surremban 2, Mantin
00:47and Rantau stations were deployed.
00:50Upon their arrival shortly after 8 am, the factory was already 80 per cent destroyed.
00:56The fire was fully extinguished by 8.55 am, with no casualties reported.
