The US has deported another batch of Indian illegal immigrants. The two flights carrying 119 immigrants will land in the Indian city of Amritsar on February 15 and 16. Among the deportees, 67 are from Punjab, 33 are from Haryana, eight are from Gujarat, three are from Uttar Pradesh, two are from Maharashtra, Goa and Rajasthan each while one each is from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. This comes after a US military aircraft dropped 104 immigrants in Amritsar on February 5. The deportations come amid the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigrants. Meanwhile, PM Modi said India will accept its verified immigrants during his US visit.
