00:00I have missed live performance greatly and it has affected me mentally and I'm very eager to get back
00:05on stage again and so, you know, this show on the 18th is very important to me. This is the start of
00:11the shows for the rest of the year.
00:15It's quite emotional to be honest. I'm so excited about it, getting back at it. It's been two years
00:22since we've had live music, live entertainment in our lives and I'm very eager to get back. I've
00:26struggled to be honest mentally with the lack of performance and, you know, entertainment in my,
00:34you know, live entertainment. So I am really eager to get back. I cannot wait. I have a brilliant
00:39show put together for the night in Dubai and it's the first of, you know, the rest of the year for
00:45me. The first show of the year and I'm very excited. If you're coming to my show, it's when
00:49you say nothing at all. Life is a rollercoaster, loving each day and boys on are no more. So when
00:53I do shows now these days, I like to tip the cap out of respect for the band that got me where I
00:58am today. So I do a bunch of boys own songs as well. Very special night, so many memories, so
01:03many good times, so many wonderful memories. You know, I miss the camaraderie. I miss the boys a lot.
01:09But things change when you grow up and you get older and, you know, you need change.
01:16We all need change. That's just the human way of what we do and this is, you know, we're
01:22all doing different things now and this is what I do. A singer, a performer, that's who I am. Singer,
01:27songwriter, whatever title you want to put on that, but that's who I am. That's what I am. That's what
01:32I've been since I was 16 years of age. So all the other things that you pick up along the way,
01:37whether it's acting or TV host or radio host or whatever, I mean, they're only spinoffs of
01:43what came first, which was singing, performing on stage as a band member or as a soloist.
01:49You know, singing with Elton John in Madison Square Garden or singing with Pavarotti or
01:53opening the World Cup in Berlin or, you know, there's been millions, so many brilliant moments
01:59with Boyzone and solo. I've been very lucky. I'm very lucky to sing with incredible people on my
02:05album, the 2020 record, which came out two years ago, to sing with Shania Twain and Robbie Williams and
02:11Emily Sandé. I mean, just all of those different people across there. Ed Sheeran performing on it.
02:17It's just incredible. I'm very lucky, very blessed. I guess your family, your experiences in life,
02:24you pour all of that into your songs and your music. That's what, that's all consuming. You
02:29know, that's what consumes me is my family, my family life. And I love it. And I pour that,
02:34all that love and feeling into songs. I feel very inspired all the time. And I think you can get
02:41tired and that switch goes off. But as soon as you're re-energized again, as a writer, as a
02:48creator of songs and music, that always stays there bubbling all the time, I think. I'm going to start
02:54writing a new album, but it's going to be a long time before it comes out. I feel a little bit
02:58that I've pushed out two albums in two years and it's time for a break.
