00:00We love music and we still play for the same reason that we when we started out.
00:09Your music has been part of my life and the lives of so many people
00:13that I know and how does it feel to kind of have this incredible legacy?
00:19Well it feels good of course we love music and we still play for the same reason that we
00:27when we started out which was the love of music and I mean it's a really privilege
00:35it's a big privilege and it makes us very proud to have a legacy like that.
00:41Your music is extremely popular in Asia and you have this massive fan following
00:47how does it how did it feel when you kind of realized wow
00:50all these Asian people love our music was it confusing was it interesting for you?
00:57Now in the beginning it was just really weird and very very surprising in the very beginning
01:07but very fast we went to Asia we went there a lot we traveled there so much in the 90s and we
01:16came to all countries in Asia we got to know the Asian people and Asian culture and the
01:23countries there and very fast actually within a very few years we felt like Asia was our second
01:31home and we felt completely at home when we were there and we still do we still travel to Asia all
01:38the time and now it's just become basically a place we love to go and we love to meet our
01:47fans there and see their you know their how they experience our music and the interaction
01:54we can have with people they are just amazing so now it's just wonderful to have this
02:00connection with the Asian people. I also read an interesting fact about how your the name of your
02:06group was created there was there was no real thought behind it it was kind of a random thing right?
02:14It was very sudden. I think we had been playing together for three months
02:22we started back in March 1988 and there was this competition you know town
02:30Aarhus it was called and it was a big contest competition contest and we recorded
02:39we recorded three or four songs and and we needed a name and I think Yashi came up with
02:45the name and he just wrote it on the cassette and send it to the contest and then we won we
02:50won the contest so we thought it was too late to change the name. Have there been any performances
02:55that really in your career that really stand out? I think we all remember the show we had in Shillong
03:02in northeastern India. Oh wow okay. Yeah back in 2005 or something like that it was just amazing
03:12a very small city and a lot of people there were so many people in a big cricket stadium up there
03:19and and it was raining all the time and people were just completely didn't care about it was
03:26raining they just had the biggest party and it was an amazing crowd and just the feeling of
03:33traveling so far up in the mountains to this small quite small city and performing in front
03:40of all these very happy people I think that was amazing it really was.
