00:00I've always been an actor who have supported content driven films. I've always wanted to push that bar and try something new and experimental.
00:13What made you sign on both of you? Ashok you had to put the money in as well.
00:17When I heard the script that was my first reaction. Here's a script which is fabulous. It begs for great performances.
00:26The narrative style is very new and unique unlike any of the thrillers you've seen in our country.
00:31And it's one of the spark breaking films and that's why I was sold on that first narration.
00:36This is a very very unique story. Story is a different kind of concept completely. Hindi film cinema
00:45may not have seen this kind of story. Narrative is completely different. Characterization is different.
00:52It's very dialogue heavy film. The way we have shot, every frame is like a picture. So, it's completely different.
01:01How important is content? Did you have time to perhaps you know just hone in on how good the story has to be?
01:08I've always been an actor who have supported content driven films. I've always wanted to push that bar and try something new and experimental.
01:19Star system, although it might seem like it's fading a bit at this point of time, I don't think it'll go away.
01:28I think this is a bit of a bump on the road. You shouldn't really question the star in these times
01:35when a theatrical release doesn't get the magical figures. But that doesn't mean the star has dwindled.
01:41It hasn't lost its meaning. She hasn't lost her machine. I think it only is these unprecedented
01:47times that they're staying in and things will go back normal. And of course, OTT is an avenue where
01:53you can now even more than ever get a new bunch of people, get great content and have an equally
02:00successful show or film and bring in the eyeballs purely on that content. People see it for the story
02:08not for the stars. Star system will never vanish according to me. But the good thing is that because
02:16of OTT and other mediums, even the non-star films or shows are doing very well. So now people have
02:28started accepting or their basket of liking the content has become bigger.
