00:11Egypt's Defence Minister Abdel Fattah El-Sisi resigned from the post last night to run for
00:15presidency. El-Sisi faces no serious competition in the election and is expected to win comfortably.
00:21Just hours before El-Sisi's announcement, clashes between ousted President Mohamed Morsi's
00:25student supporters and police killed one protester in Cairo.
00:29Dubai will be fully prepared to receive 25 million visitors when it hosts the World Expo
00:34in 2020. A top Dubai municipality official told Golf News that officials are already
00:39seeing to every detail imaginable to pave the way for the smoothest possible hosting
00:44of the international event.
00:46A Qatari court is set to deliver a verdict in the trial of a US couple accused of killing
00:50their adopted child to harvest her organs. The Hoang case began in January 2013 with
00:56their arrest and the couple rushed Gloria to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

01:04passengers on board the missing Malaysian Airlines flight in a lawsuit against the carriers
01:09and Boeing. The lawsuits contend that the plane had crashed due to mechanical failure.
01:13Thunderstorms and gale force winds, meanwhile, grounded the international search for wreckage
01:17of flight MH370, frustrating the effort yet again.
01:22In sport, Daniel Sturridge scored his 20th goal of the campaign as Liverpool kept the
01:25pressure on their Premier League rivals with a 2-1 home win over Sunderland. The England
01:30striker netted Liverpool's second goal of the game at Anfield after captain Steven Gerrard
01:34gave the hosts a 39th-minute lead with a free kick.
01:38Elren Scott has left her entire estate to longtime boyfriend and Rolling Stones frontman
01:42Mick Jagger. The Daily News says papers filed in Manhattan's surrogates' court estimated
01:47the value of the 49-year-old designer's personal estate at $9 million. Scott committed suicide
01:53on March 17 in New York.
