00:21First up, my fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited the 2025 Open Government Partnership or OGP Asia and the Pacific Regional Meetings at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taguig City.
00:34The Philippines is the host country of the meeting that started on February 5 and will end today.
00:40The OGP aims to make the government more transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the region through the exchange of best practices.
00:51More than 800 government officials, civil society leaders, and policy makers from more than 40 countries came here, while 6 local government units are actively participating in the OGP Local Program.
01:05These are South Cotabato, Baguio City, Quezon City, Tagbilaran City, Borongan City, and Municipality of Larena that are defending open government reforms in local communities.
01:15At the last event, President Marcos Jr. called on all government officials and agencies to always promote accountability in their communities.
01:27The President also emphasized the importance of the partnership between government agencies and international partners for the future of the government.
01:36He also emphasized the importance of the power of collaboration, especially when it comes to the challenges faced by the government in the 21st century.
01:44According to the President, he believes that the future of the government is an important foundation for the promotion of stability and security.
