00:18These are some of the inventions of students from 38 schools in different parts of the country,
00:24that were created in the 10th Philippine Robothon.
00:27It aims to solve problems in the country using innovative technology.
00:32In the innovative open category, this invention was created,
00:36which is called Rotoscope, made by Malolos.
00:40It's a water robot as you can see.
00:42Its two main functions are to collect garbage and to serve as surveillance.
00:47It can clean estuaries and rivers and remove garbage in case of flood.
00:53At the same time, it has a camera that can help in rescue operations.
00:57The focus of Project HOPE by Balayan Batangas is also a problem in garbage and internet connection.
01:04This is what's called Project HOPE,
01:06made by Immaculate Conception College of Balayan Incorporated.
01:12It's a garbage segregation machine.
01:15When you segregate yourself, there's an alternative internet connection.
01:20Now, it can detect different kinds of bottles.
01:26These kinds of bottles,

01:30and we'll press this red button to detect what kind of bottle it is.
01:36If it's a plastic bottle,
01:39it has a 5-minute internet connection via Wi-Fi.
01:47This tin can has a 10-minute connection.
01:50If it's an aluminum can, it has a 15-minute connection via Wi-Fi.
01:55See, you've been segregated and you still have Wi-Fi.
01:59Our goal is to promote waste management in our school
02:05and to encourage students to be responsible for waste disposal.
02:10The collected garbage will be recycled and sold.
02:14It will be donated to their school.
02:17Primary and middle school students,
02:21junior and senior high students,
02:22will participate in the mini-robot challenge category.
02:24Each robot must perform individual tasks in sequence or missions.
