00:00Good news! Farmers in Lanao del Norte received solar-powered water pumps from their provincial government.
00:06This move aimed to provide modern and sustainable irrigation solutions in their province.

00:17The provincial government of Lanao del Norte turned over 15 units of solar-powered water
00:23pumps to various farmers associations in the province. The project is part of the
00:28implementation of the provincial gulayan program funded through the 20% development fund of the
00:34provincial government. The 4.5 million pesos project spearheaded by the provincial agriculture
00:41office aims to support local farmers by providing modern and sustainable irrigation solutions.
00:48Before receiving a solar-powered water pump, farmers from the Kapitbisig Pantar Farmers
00:54Association in Barangay Buwi, Pantar Town faced major challenges. For months, they struggled with
01:00dry, cracked 23-hectare land during the El Nino season last year, making it impossible to grow
01:07crops. With such support, farmers no longer have to manually fetch water for their crops as it
01:13will make it easier for them to irrigate their land. From the Philippine Information Agency,
