00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has pledged that he will continue his policy to protect the territory of the Philippines.
00:08Meanwhile, the Philippines' 6th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity and 3 more countries have been successful despite the presence of Chinese Navy warships.
00:19The details of the country's return is brought to you by Patrick Jesus of PDB Manila.
00:25Despite the limited use, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has pledged that he will not change his policy to protect the territory of the Philippines.
00:35This is according to the President regarding the continued maintenance of the monster ship within the exclusive economic zone of the country
00:42and the continued approach of other ships of the China Coast Guard where the three PLA Navy warships have never entered our archipelagic waters.
00:53According to the President, this is not enough reason for these warships to enter our archipelagic waters.
00:57In terms of the size and number of ships, we are far from China.
01:02But our policy is that we will just continue to defend our sovereign territory and our territorial rights in the EEC.
01:14According to the President, our presence in the West Philippine Sea will remain.
01:19No matter what they do, even if our ships are bombed, even if they use water cannons, lasers, or anything to block us, the Philippines will always be there.
01:32We will always be there protecting our territory.
01:36We will always be there making sure our fishermen are able to exercise their sovereign rights.
01:43We will always be there.
01:44Meanwhile, various exercises were carried out this Wednesday by Philippine ships, America, Japan, and Australia in the West Philippine Sea,
01:55particularly in the eastern part of Bajo de Macinlok.
01:59This is the sixth multilateral maritime cooperative activity between the countries.
02:05The Philippine Navy used its multi-role guided missile frigate BRPO Serizal and the search and rescue assets of the Philippine Air Force.
02:14HMAS Hobart, JS Akizuki in Japan, and USS Benfold of America were deployed for Australia.
02:22The P-8A Poseidon aircrafts of Australia and the United States were also deployed.
02:27According to the AFP, the interoperability of the countries was strengthened here, and the MMCA was in accordance with international law, and the navigation was safe.
02:39There were warships of the PLA Navy of China that were monitored, but none of them made a move against the MMCA, which was successful.
02:48A joint aerial exercise of the Philippines and America in the West Philippine Sea was held recently,
02:55where the two B-1 bomber aircrafts of the US Pacific Air Force flew together.
03:00According to an expert, this will only show the continued support of the Philippine security partners, which is also a message to China.
03:10That's basically a signal from them that we should continue resisting Chinese coercive actions.
03:17The goal of China, while it's applying what we call gray zone tactics against the Philippines, is to weaken our resolve.
03:27But these military exercises, the multilateral and the bilateral exercises, are indications that you cannot basically win the Philippines away from the United States and its security partners.
03:42In addition to this, the US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had an introductory call with Defense Secretary Gebo Teodoro
03:49and discussed defense cooperation as part of the alliance of the United States and the Philippines, as well as the continued deterrence in the South China Sea.
03:59Hegseth and Teodoro also discussed strengthening the military strength of the Philippines and the continued commitment to the Mutual Defense Treaty
04:08that is important in maintaining the safe and free Indo-Pacific.
