00:00Hi, I'm Daniel Harkins for the band Bro Gail and this is my Glasgow best of.
00:05My favourite restaurant in Glasgow is Chaku Bombay Cafe.
00:09The cocktails are just amazing and the curries are unreal.
00:14And it's quite reasonably priced as well.
00:16My favourite pub is right here, Macools.
00:20I love Macools, I've drunk here since I was 18.
00:24I've always been involved in putting on bands and stuff here and there's just a real sense of community.
00:28My favourite coffee shop in Glasgow is Salino's in Deniston.
00:33I had a good friend put me onto that recently and they've just got some of the best cakes,
00:38wee pistachios and some really good coffee.
00:42And it's also really good for pizza, pasta, deli stuff as well.
00:46My favourite venue in Glasgow is St Luke's in the Winged Locks.
00:51Recently headlined there with my band.
00:54And it's just a beautiful converted church and the sound in it is always amazing.
00:59And it's just a really, really nice place for a gig.
01:04My favourite building in Glasgow is the Barrylands Ballroom.
01:08It's just iconic as anything and I love it.
01:12On Saturdays and Sundays when they turn it into the market, there's no much better to be honest.
01:17My favourite neighbourhood in Glasgow is Parkhead because it's sick.
01:22My favourite outdoor space in Glasgow is Bell Houston Park
01:26because I seen The Cure there in 2020 and it was the best gig of my life.
01:30My favourite band in Glasgow currently that play in Glasgow are Palo Amo.
01:35Total Brit pop, beautiful melodies and stuff.
01:39Just heavy cool.
01:41And I'd say that my favourite band from previously in Glasgow are Bell and Sebastian.
01:47My Glasgow hero is Billy Connolly but I imagine everybody says that
01:51so I'll give a mention to Donovan because absolute legend.
01:58Pals with Bob Dylan. Don't get much cooler than that.
02:01This Friday the 7th of February, Vicar Street Social at McCool's.
02:05A club night for rebels, punks and poets.
