00:00Your favourite Glasgow restaurant?
00:02Duck Club
00:03Part of Duck Club? Any specific reason why?
00:06Just because their brunches are brilliant
00:08My wife and I try and go on weekends for a kind of breakfast on a Sunday
00:12or a Saturday or a Sunday
00:13when we go down to the market in Partick
00:15Yeah, great little restaurant
00:16Favourite Glasgow pub?
00:18The Lismore
00:20The Lismore?
00:21Again in Partick, just across the road from the Duck Club
00:23Your favourite spot for a coffee in Glasgow?
00:26Favourite Glasgow building?
00:28Ecuador
00:29Yeah, it's a lovely building
00:31Absolutely lovely
00:33Your favourite Glasgow neighbourhood?
00:35Partick
00:37It's still a thriving, working class part of the city which I love
00:40I mean Maryhill has been kind of gutted quite a bit
00:43Govan's on the way up a little bit
00:45But Partick's always been there, it's been vibrant
00:47Part of my family live there, you know
00:49We used to come from Drumchapper to go shopping and things
00:52So Partick's always been dear to my heart
00:54It's got a lovely, lovely vibe to it
00:56It's a vibrancy
00:57Yeah, definitely
00:59And as you say, there's still that kind of contrast of old and new in Partick
01:02Which I still like, the Baton Road's still buzzing
01:05It's great because you've got all the Chinese and Far Eastern students coming in
01:07And they're changing the feel of the place as well
01:10You know, opening up their restaurants and their shops
01:13Absolutely
01:14Your favourite Glasgow bands?
01:17Oh, Blue Nile
01:19Yeah, I actually saw you at Paul Buchanan's gig at the Concert Hall
01:22Did you?
01:23When he only sang three songs
01:25He only sang three songs?
01:26Yeah, yeah
01:27And one of them was a repeat
01:28And I thought, come on, Paul
01:29Purely, you know, something else to that
01:30Such a shame it was only three songs
01:32I do like Peace At Last, so I can't really complain
01:34Well, actually, I'm very close to the Blue Nile, anyway
01:36Because the first film I ever directed
01:40They did the soundtrack for me, Blue Nile
01:42Right
01:44Okay
01:45If he is watching, hopefully we get some new music from Paul
01:49Paul, get back on stage
01:50Get back on
01:51Give us another album
01:52Your favourite outdoor space in Glasgow?
01:56The Botanics
01:57Botanic Gardens
01:58Just because, and then you've got the river
02:00So you can walk all the way
02:01And that's near to where I live, so it's easy
02:02I just cross the road, I'm in the Botanics
02:05Down the hill, I'm on the banks of the river
02:07And I can walk for miles up the river
02:09It's a magical place
02:10That's where I go to get away from all the noise of life
02:14And just finally, your Glasgow hero?
02:17Jimmy Reid
02:18Excellent
02:19David, thank you very much
02:20Pleasure
02:21Lovely to see you again
