00:05by participating in big competitions this year.

00:14The Filipino Junior Gymnastics Standout Karl Eldro Yulo

00:19will continue to shine in his outstanding performance

00:22in several prestigious artistic gymnastics tournaments this 2025.

00:28Yulo was honored to once again show off his skills

00:31after receiving a Special Citation for Gymnastics

00:34just last week in the Philippine Sports Writers' Association or PSA Awards.

00:41In an interview with PDD Sports,

00:43Yulo shared what competitions he is currently preparing for.

00:48Now, the Asian Championships in South Korea

00:54and the Junior Worlds here in the Philippines.

01:00As part of Yulo's training,

01:02you can remember that he went to a 10-day training camp in Japan

01:06in October with the help of Japanese coach, Munehiro Kugimiya.

01:11My training in Japan, I mean, it's okay.

01:15There were a lot of upgrades, a lot of clean-ups,

01:18and a lot of learning, a lot of friends,

01:22and a lot of people became close to me.

01:25Yulo also added that aside from his gymnastics skills,

01:28he is also always testing his mental toughness.

01:31You would be mental, bro.

01:35Like, I want every competition to be well-thought-out.

01:40I'm already set, I don't have any anxiety.

01:44Of course, we all want that, right?

01:46And what we want is just to focus.

01:49At the age of 16, Karl-Eldrew will be even better

01:53and it is expected that in the coming years,

01:56he will also make his own name in artistic gymnastics

01:59like his brother, the double Olympic gold medalist, Carlos Yulo.
