00:00Manila Hustle 3x3 will be back for the third season this weekend.

00:06This is the biggest women's 3x3 basketball league in the country

00:10which will be hosted by 16 teams from different parts of the world.

00:15Team Mate Rafael Bandayrel will give you the full details.

00:20Once again, the best female basketball players in the country

00:25will be participating in the third edition of Manila Hustle 3x3 Women's Basketball Tournament

00:30which will be held this month.

00:32This year, the Women's Revolution will continue

00:35which was started by Manila Hustle in 2023.

00:38Eight foreign teams, including defending champion Zeus Tokyo of Japan,

00:42will travel to the country to try the skills of eight Filipino players.

00:49In total, 16 teams will compete for the title and cash prize of US$4,000.

00:58As for the Filipino women's basketball team,

01:00the team that will try to return to the country is Corona.

01:04It is formed by Camille Clarin, Mika Cacho, Jasmine Hozon, and Hazel Yam.

01:10This is Yam's third season in Manila Hustle,

01:13but this is her first as a part of the women's basketball team.

01:17I feel good.

01:18Good chemistry from what I've seen in our practices.

01:21And of course, it's exciting because my teammates were up before my opponents,

01:26like Mika Cacho and Camille Clarin,

01:28so it's exciting that we'll be teammates for the first time.

01:31But then for Jasmine Hozon, we've been together since I think 2016,

01:37so we were teammates in Ateneo before.

01:40And of course, the highest rated women's 3x3 player of the Philippines,

01:46Kay Pingol.

01:47In the third season, Ilongga Cager will play for Eurotech's Dream.

01:52This season, I think we've matured,

01:55especially in our experiences from Red Bull Half-Court,

01:59where we went to the World Finals,

02:03and we joined the Women's Series,

02:05so we've had a lot of experiences.

02:08So now, maybe because of that experience,

02:11we've grown, we've improved,

02:14and for sure, we've improved a lot this season.

02:18Because it's already the third season,

02:20what's the advantage of Manila Hustle this year

02:24compared to the 102 editions of Liga,

02:27according to Tournament Director, Peachie Medina.

02:30But I think what will set Season 3 apart is that

02:33it's happening in the midst of the tremendous rise in popularity

02:38of women's basketball in the past year.

02:40And with that, there were obviously more opportunities for women to play.

02:45Unlike, let's say, in Season 1, following COVID,

02:49some players had to just activate for the tournament,

02:53and after the tournament, they deactivate.

02:55But now, because of so many opportunities,

02:58there's so many opportunities for the women players

03:02to develop themselves, to hone their skills,

03:04to be more competitive.

03:06Manila Hustle Season 3 will be held from Saturday to Sunday,

03:11February 8 to 9, at the Mall of Asia Arena Music Hall.
