00:00The National Food Authority in Bicol Region assured that there is a sufficient supply of NFA rice in their warehouses

00:07to lower the price of rice for their families.

00:17The Department of Agriculture confirmed that the National Food Authority in Bicol Region received 38,600 sacks of rice.

00:26This is in accordance with the declaration of the Food Security Emergency of the Department of Agriculture

00:30to lower the price of rice in the market.

00:33In Cam Sur, there is an allocation of 25,000 sacks.

00:37In Cam Norte, there are 10,000 sacks.

00:40In Sabon, there are 2,800 sacks.

00:43And in Masbate, there are 800 sacks.

00:45A total of 38,600 sacks.

00:48In one sack, there are 50 kilos that can be bought by LG in NFA.

00:54These rice will be sold to local governments and government-owned and controlled corporations, or GOCCS,

01:02at a price of 38 pesos per kilo.

01:04This is also part of the government's effort to maintain a sufficient supply of rice in Bicol Region.

01:11LG will buy the rice from NFA,

01:16then they are going to sell it or distribute it to their constituents

01:21so that the price of rice will be low and the price will be cooled down.

01:28At present, there are more than 30,000 sacks of rice

01:32while more than 472,000 sacks of rice have been imported to NFA warehouses in Bicol Region.
