00:00Because some endangered animals were saved that were planned to be sold in Cebu City,

00:04the arrested brothers admitted that they were involved in illegal wildlife trade.

00:17The NBI initiated the operation after receiving a complaint from an illegal wildlife trade owner in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City.

00:25Two were arrested.

00:26While the rescued animals were sold,

00:29one of them was a Philippine hawk eagle and a Palawan hill mynah

00:34that, according to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, are endangered.

00:39There were also Burmese pythons, birds, iguanas, and sailfin lizards.

00:44The seven rescued animals were worth P142,000.

00:55The items were not found in the area.

00:58The suspects are brothers who sell lovebirds and fish.

01:04They have a location in Magallanes Street, Cebu City.

01:08The buyer saw that they were in Gama.

01:11Although it was illegal, there was an operation.

01:13One of the recovered lizards in the operation was found with markings on its body.
