00:00In Mixed Martial Arts, the Philippines is aiming for another historic achievement at the upcoming 2026 Aichi, Nagoya Asian Games.
00:08Following the confirmation by the Olympic Council of Asia that Mixed Martial Arts will be included as a medal sport,
00:15the sport is said to feature six weight divisions, four for men and two for women, divided into two disciplines, traditional and modern MMA.
00:24The Philippine national team is aiming to continue the success achieved at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China,
00:31where the Guilas Filipinas men's basketball team secured the country's first gold medal in the sport after 61 years.
00:38Also contributing to the Philippines' medal call were pole vaulter EJ Obriana and jiu-jitsu athletes Maggie Ochoa and Annie Ramirez, all of whom won gold medals.
