00:04Hey, they're doing some big things, the Mets are.

00:08Take me out for some hot dogs.

00:18You know, when you're doing raw dogging for five-plus years,
00:25some hot dog places go away.
00:28New hot dog places come, and some stay the same forever.
00:35Well, I reviewed a place called Duck's.
00:39The hot dog got a double, the chili dog got a triple,
00:43the fries were terrible, and I found out about the Pizza Puff.
00:49That place was called Duck's.
00:51Well, Duck decided to fly south and closed up.
00:58And now, in its place, Modern Relish,
01:05the new hot dog place, kind of a new spin on it,
01:08taking over where Duck's used to be.
01:11Now, can they carry the same magic that Duck had?
01:15Or is Modern Relish just another letdown?
01:20Well, I'm here to tell you, and I'm
01:22going to review this hot dog.
01:25Let's see if it's worthy of the title.
01:27All right.
01:47Here we are, Modern Relish.
01:49You know, it's a modern taste.
01:53They don't have the poppy seed buns,
01:55but they have a good bun preparation.
01:56The bun feels nice, nice and warm,
02:00good coloring on the hot dog.
02:02But most important part is, how does it taste?
02:13That's a good snap.
02:25I'm going to give this hot dog a hustle triple.
02:32Barely makes it in the dirt, but it's
02:36got a good taste to it, good snap, good.
02:39There's just everything about it.
02:42And now here's the chili dog.
02:44We got the chili cheese.
02:46You use the shredded cheese underneath,
02:48which is what you should do if you use shredded cheese.
02:51But let's see how this chili dog tastes.
02:56That's a good chili, I'd say, kind of a smooth chili,
03:09not really a very spicy chili.
03:19I'm going to give the chili dog a double.
03:24Now we got the fries.
03:29They look decent.
03:38Good shoestring fries.
03:46I'm going to give the fries a 7.1.
03:52You know, Duck's was a great spot.
03:57And whatever happened, they retired,
04:00decided to close up shop.
04:03A Hall of Fame place for the Vietnamese closed up shop.
04:10You know, Modern Relish has done a good job
04:13in maintaining this spot as a good hot dog location.
04:18You know, that was my part.
04:21You know, the baton got passed.
04:24They might have changed the name,
04:26might have a different look, but they still
04:28carry on the tradition of solid hot dogs.
04:30And you know, that's good.
