00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning. It's chilly outside with some frost also some showers coming through on a keen breeze.
00:10That wind delivering those showers across Northern and Western Scotland with snow over the tops of the mountains.
00:16One or two running in also across Northern Ireland. One or two isolated showers possible across Northern England, Wales down towards the West Country.
00:23But generally speaking for much of England and Wales it's a fine morning. It may be cold outside but it will be bright through the day with blue sky as well as some sunshine.
00:33Now these showers across the North and the West of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland will tend to become more scattered through the day.
00:41That wind continues though is quite keen, quite brisk.
00:45Elsewhere, notice not a lot of change. The air is fairly static, high pressure building from the south.
00:51Could see a bit more cloud just drift across the sky across central and southern parts of England as we head through the afternoon.
00:58Many areas seeing bright skies to end the day.
01:01As temperatures arrive around six or seven across Scotland. Northern Ireland coming in around eight.
01:05Nine for South Wales as well as central southern parts of England. Eight along that east coast of England as well as mid Wales.
01:13Here's that centre of the high extends towards Denmark as well as Scandinavia.
01:19And then we find the wind will pick up across southern counties. The air is cold here. We'll see more cloud.
01:25Quite breezy across the far northwest. Temperatures here will probably be slightly higher. The air is slightly milder.
01:32Even so that high does drift towards Scandinavia through Friday. So there will be more cloud around.
01:39Through this evening and overnight though, the frost returns and it will be fairly widespread.
01:43So expect some sub zero temperatures. So a bit frosty in places as we head into Thursday morning. Cold outside.
01:52So you start the day always that breeze mixing things up towards the northwest of Scotland.
01:57But a much better day here. A much drier day.
02:00Now the wind will pick up towards the southeast. Could deliver a bit more cloud through the afternoon.
02:05Generally speaking, it's a fine afternoon with sunny spells.
02:08And here's your outlook through Friday. Expect quite a wind chill across more southern areas with that easterly wind.
02:13By the north you'll see brighter skies. A bit breezy towards the northwest.
