00:00Hi, Adele Roberts here and I just wanted to say I am really thinking of you if you're
00:08dealing with cancer at the moment.
00:10At Macmillan we know that cancer can affect every aspect of someone's life and that's
00:14why we do whatever it takes to make sure you get the support you need.
00:18We're all in this together, you're not alone. Keep living life every single day, keep smiling
00:24and don't forget to enjoy the here and the now.
00:27I am sending so much love, strength and thoughts to those affected by cancer. I remember after
00:33I was diagnosed a nurse telling me to stop holding it all in if I needed to have a good
00:38cry to let it out.
00:40You do not need to go through it alone. Maggie's doors and centres are open for you.
00:46Be strong, be focused, keep your chin down, hands up, keep fighting.
00:51Be as positive as you can and take each day as it comes.
00:55Today on World Cancer Day I would just like to say a huge thank you to all the nurses,
01:00doctors, scientists and researchers that are continuously trying to find a cure for cancer.
01:05My dad passed away in 2011 but I want to say that whether you know someone or whether you've
01:10been recently diagnosed we are all in this together and whatever you can do to smile
01:15every day is important.
01:17There is hope. Research means that treatments are improving all the time.
01:23We're delivering real progress and thankfully beating cancer together.
01:29We are all with you. This is tough but you are not alone.
01:33At Maggie's with friends with cancer you can be your authentic self.
01:38This World Cancer Day I want to say a massive thank you to all of the brilliant doctors
01:44and nurses and charities that work tirelessly for the cause. Thank you.
01:50Without your love, care, support and dedication a lot of people out there would be going through
01:55an even more difficult time so thank you so much.
01:59Speak to your treatment teams, speak to Macmillan Cancer Support, get information because that
02:04information helps you feel empowered and optimistic for the future.
02:08Don't be afraid to ask for help and if you can do something every day that makes you
02:12truly happy.
02:14When I was diagnosed with bowel cancer it was overwhelming. I knew I couldn't control
02:18what it did to my body but I was determined not to let it affect my spirit.
02:23You've got this. Lots of love.
