00:00The first activities for the upcoming festival in Baguio City are now underway.

00:06Here is the story of Janice Dennis.

00:14Kendy and her family will travel from Montenlupa to celebrate the opening of the Panagbenga Festival 2025 today.

00:25That's why, at 6 in the morning, they are already waiting for the parade.

00:36Hill and her friends planned the opening of the Panagbenga Festival from Pangasinan.

00:43We really planned the parade here.

00:47The 20th anniversary of the Panagbenga Festival was grand and colorful.

00:53The parade was held from Upper Session Road to Melvin Jones,

00:58which was led by Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. and local officials.

01:05Five drum and lyre dance competitors and 13 cultural dance performers

01:11participated in the drum and lyre competition and cultural presentation.

01:15Pugos Central from La Union and Pinsao National High School Drum and Lyre also had a special performance.

01:23In Baguio City Congressman Mark Go,

01:26the Panagbenga Festival is a testament to the resilience of the residents in the midst of the challenges.

01:34Baguio, like the flowers we celebrate, will continue to bloom.

01:39Indeed, there will be days when the seasons will change, when challenges will test us,

01:45but we will always find a way to flourish.

01:48This festival is for you.

01:51It is for the people of Baguio and the rest of the country.

01:56According to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong,

01:59the celebration is the recognition of the city and it is also a symbol of the unity of the residents.

02:07It speaks to the heart of what Panagbenga has always stood for, growth, community, and strength.

02:15Much like flowers that bloom regardless of where they are planted,

02:20our festival is a celebration of how our people, our traditions, and our city continue to thrive beyond challenges.

02:30Along with the grand opening, Baguio Blooms also opened the Market Encounter at Juan Luna Drive in Burnham Park

02:38and the Panagbenga Scapes in Melvin Jones.

02:41Twelve landscapers participated in the garden exhibit.

02:45Other activities of the Panagbenga Festival are also being anticipated,

02:50such as the Panagbenga Gift to the Baguio Family,

02:53BMA Grand Alumni Homecoming,

02:56Session Road in Bloom,

02:57Grand Street Dancing Parade,

02:59and Grand Float Parade.

03:01The theme of the celebration is Blossoms Beyond Boundaries.

03:06Long live Panagbenga 2021!
