Cardiff City’s form has been inconsistent since their dramatic South Wales derby win, with hopes of using that victory as a springboard proving mixed.
While the momentum from beating Swansea gave them a boost, results have varied, highlighting ongoing issues with consistency and squad depth.

00:00James, looking at Cardiff City and their sort of bid to remain in the Championship. Obviously,
00:07it's so, so tight in the Championship, whether that's at the top, near the play-offs and
00:12the relegation zone, you know, one of the most incredible leagues in world football
00:17really. But it can be so tough when it goes against you. You know, you're playing those
00:21Saturday-Tuesday games, Saturday-Tuesday, it's so relentless. Do you feel Omariza's
00:26side has what it takes to, you know, really stay up and make sure they are a Championship
00:31club next season? The Derby Day victory was, you know, quite remarkable and really, surely,
00:39you feel, gives them a confidence boost moving forward.
00:42Absolutely. That was huge, a massive, massive power for the season. Now, you know, we've
00:46had four points from Swansea now this year. Early on in the season, you know, things were
00:51going badly. We lost the first however many games it was. And then we got a draw against
00:54Swansea. We were like, oh, okay, you know, the signs of life. And this might happen again.
00:59You know, this, we've been on a decent enough run recently. We've won a couple of games
01:02where we need to not lost a few games, especially, which is always a benefit in the Championship.
01:09So I think that you've got to see signs of life. Ramsey's back on the pitch, always a
01:12benefit, you know what I mean? In a different universe, could be one of the best players
01:16in the world. Like, he's, he's going to be a massive boost for the club. We've had one
01:22signing so far already. He scored a last minute equaliser in the last game. Good signs.
01:30It's, you know, nothing's, nothing in the world is guaranteed in the Championship. It's
01:34tough. It's horrible. We've been on the wrong end and the right end of the Championship
01:38in the past, but why not? Why not this year? Omar Izza has proved he can win games. He's
01:43not, I don't think he's proved that he's, you know, going to dominate this league and
01:48he's the right guy to be taking us forward up to the Premiership. But like, he can keep
01:53us safe. He can win the right games and we just have to see how it goes over the next
01:57few weeks and months and see where we are before the end of the season.
02:01And just on Callum Robinson and his contract, obviously up at the end of the season, you
02:06know, there's not been concrete talks yet for him to stay. He scored 10 goals in the
02:11Championship this season. You know, how important has he been? Obviously Cardiff's second top
02:16scorer is with three. That just shows his importance. You know, surely he's a player
02:21that, that, that Cardiff City needs to tie down. Not that he's been like the best player
02:25for us over the last few years, but he's been the striker for us for the last few years.
02:28And we've not really had that too much. And a Championship club, I think, especially needs
02:34that like number nine character that can just score when you need them to score, they will
02:37score and he can do that. He's proved he can do that and we'll need him moving forward.
02:42We'll need him in the Championship. Now he can do it. He's proved he can do it. You know,
02:46a few more signings around him, the right players. You've got to see him as a priority.
02:52They'd be outgoing. If we don't sign him, we're going to look for a striker in the summer
02:55and you'd never know how they're going to do. So I think he's got to be top of the list.
