00:00We've spoken about it before that it's not been the greatest of seasons. 22 losses in
00:06a championship, but obviously 19 wins to go with that. So it's almost as if they were
00:10either winning well or losing games. Only five draws throughout the whole season. It's
00:14quite rare to see. Obviously, quite a strange situation with their manager as well, going
00:20into the summer, still quite unsure about his future. How do you assess Cardiff City's
00:25season this time around?
00:28So you say about the manager, obviously you're not sure of the situation now, but it's actually
00:31been one of the more solid years of a manager. It's the first in about five or six years
00:38that we've had a manager last the whole season. Three managers last year, for example. But
00:43this year, yeah, Errol Bullock has been one of the key parts of this season. He's brought
00:51a bit of stability to the club on the pitch, clearly off the pitch now with having a manager.
00:56What do the fans want to have back?
00:57Their sort of implementation of some of their younger players. How important is that for
01:02them moving on into the future and ensuring that they keep them in the summer and can
01:07hopefully use these players well for next season, these young players?
01:11Yeah, and then towards the end of the season, you had Kian Ashford came on, made his league
01:15debut, scored in that game as well. So there's a good few young players, really young players.
01:21A few 17-year-olds who are coming up through who played towards the end of the year. They
01:25kind of played in those, I'll give them a game, get them some minutes. But Kian Ashford,
01:31he played because he deserved a spot and he was playing and he scored and he did well.
01:36And there's been some rumours, I'm not sure how far they go. The Premier League team's
01:40looking at him, but these players are very able, coming up through and hopefully that's
01:46where they've got to go because we've been struggling in the transfer market recently.
01:51Like Cardiff, they've both been in the Championship now for a good few years. It feels like this
01:56is just where they're destined to just be for a long time. Swansea obviously had a great
02:00thing in the Premier League a few years ago, but they've been Championship teams for years
02:03now. Middle of the pack Championship teams, but Swansea are always the ones looking at
02:08the play-offs. They're always looking up rather than looking down.
02:11Karl Rushworth, their goalkeeper on loan from Brighton, nearing at times possibly an England
02:18call-up, obviously England at the Euros this summer. I mean, that's at least something
02:23to take from this season and maybe add to their overall rating. He's been fantastic
02:27for them.
02:28Absolutely. It was great for them to have that, to have someone strong between the sticks
02:33to be able to keep that going. Obviously, they're going to lose him now for next season.
02:38And it's not just the goalkeeper they need to replace now going into next season. They're
02:42losing a good number of the veterans or possibly losing a few of the veterans, so you don't
02:45quite know how it's going to go. But a season like that, I suppose you've got to take any
02:50shining light you can get. And if it's the goalkeeper doing well, then you've got to
02:55take it, but it's not something the Swansea fans will be happy with at all.
