00:00The final day this season for Donny Rightside around the National Football League on the
00:06early line.
00:07So before he goes to New Orleans this weekend and he gets ready for a big weekend on pro
00:12football today, DRS is not going to be here on a Friday tomorrow, sadly.
00:18But we need his thoughts on Super Bowl 59.
00:22And thus, we present to you Donny Rightside's pick six.
00:26I'm sure Geron Arie and I will have one next Football Friday for Super Bowl 59.
00:32We get it live from DRS here on this Thursday on TEL.
00:36DRS, we'll miss you.
00:39Next week, my man.
00:40We'll miss you.
00:41But I really do hope you find the burger spot of your dreams in the Big Easy.
00:45You eat as many beignets as your diet will allow.
00:49And you have a blast out there in NOLA.
00:51Yeah, just got to find out where I can find a couple cans of pineapple juice.
00:54And then we got the whole week set and we're ready to rock and roll and do it up to the
00:58biggest, biggest New Orleans party you can have down there.
01:02So we're ready.
01:03I'm ready.
01:04Pineapple juice?
01:05Yeah.
01:06I like pineapple juice.
01:07Why?
01:08Is that what you drink at the holiday party?
01:12Uh, yes.
01:14Like when it's a long day, I like have a couple sips of pineapple juice, but also when it
01:18interrupts my eating patterns, which every single week the pro football today show and
01:23Sundays do.
01:24I do have a little eight ounce can of pineapple juice that during takes, I go take a couple
01:28sips from there just to keep the vibes, right?
01:30What the energy, the sugar that it provides gets you going.
01:34Yeah, exactly.
01:35Cause I'm usually like, I like to eat between 11 and 1230, but I'm on the air till one.
01:38So it just keeps me, you know, it gets a little electrolytes in your little sugar in there
01:42ready to go.
01:43So yeah, I'm sure you can find some pineapple juice.
01:45I'm sure you can.
01:46I believe that you will.
01:48All right.
01:49So the pick six is slightly different than what we have done throughout the regular season.
01:53Of course, there is only one game and it is still very early for our Superbowl handicaps
01:58and wagers.
01:59We have Donnie right sides, winner of Superbowl 59 Superbowl MVP bet his favorite prop bet
02:06for the biggest game of a year, his favorite touchdown score for the biggest game of the
02:11season in X factor to keep an eye on.
02:14And of course, trying to hit a wager before the game even officially begins coin toss heads
02:20or tails.
02:21Donnie, let's start with the biggest of them all who wins Superbowl 59.
02:27I think it is the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:28I do.
02:29Is it going to be a great game?
02:30Yes, it is.
02:31Is it a coin flip on the spread?
02:32Yes, it is at this point.
02:33But I just look at the differences between that game two years ago to this game here.
02:38Eagles lost that football game, won a little revenge for that plays into it, but I'm not
02:41so sure that that Kansas city team wasn't more explosive and a better version of Kansas
02:45city than they are this year.
02:46And the Eagles version of a defense, which was very good in that Superbowl is much better.
02:51Why?
02:52Because it's buoyed by an absolutely lockdown secondary.
02:54But the key to this game, obviously, you know, Saquon Barkley needs to be great.
02:57Jalen Hurts can't turn the football over.
02:59They have to make plays at the wide up, but it's simple for me.
03:02It comes down to the trenches.
03:03The Eagles defensive line is much better than the Chiefs offensive line.
03:07You take a look at a guard in Joe Tooney, which swings out the left tackle.
03:10Now he's a viable option at left tackle, but that brings Caliendo into the guard position.
03:14One of the worst guards in football who, you know, he's going to see a lot of Jalen Carter,
03:18the best of the best defensive ends slash tackles in football to come after him.
03:23And you take a look at the other side with Taylor, one of the worst right tackles in
03:27football penalized all over the place.
03:29If the Eagles can win the frontline advantage, like I think they will do.
03:32That means you don't have to send blitzes, a patch of homes, and you can let that blanket
03:36secondary cover those wide receivers for Kansas city.
03:39So it's not an assessment.
03:40Oh, Don, he's an Eagles fan.
03:41No, I honestly believe this game will be one on the offensive defensive line, which it
03:45should have been one last Superbowl.
03:48But the field was so damn slippery that that didn't play out.
03:51We're on turf, no advantages there, either side, just the better football players on
03:55a better side.
03:56And I think it's the Eagles defensive line.
03:58That's going to be the catalyst for this performance.
04:00And they pick up the victory.
04:01It was a historic Philadelphia defensive front entering Superbowl 57, two years ago, they
04:08had recorded 52 sacks.
04:10I believe in that season, if not more, the numbers could be incorrect, but the second
04:14most in a single season in national football league history, only behind the monsters of
04:19the midway in the 1985 Chicago bears, they did not sack Patrick Mahomes once in Superbowl
04:2657 footing was a big issue.
04:29We hope that is not the case in the Caesar superdome.
04:32If you see the sod father, get ready to go DRS, get ready to go.
04:38We have talked about revenge DRS, just from a handicapping and actual betting perspective.
04:43You highlighted the matchups.
04:45Why you think Philadelphia has the favor in Superbowl 59.
04:49Have you already bet the Eagles on the money line?
04:51Are you going to wait to bet the birds on the money line?
04:55How would you advise the general betting public if they like a side, do you bet it right here
04:59right now?
05:00Do you wait until next week?
05:01When do you get down?
05:02Yeah, it's, I don't think you're going to have to work because what's the chances it's
05:07plus 106.
05:08Is that life change?
05:09Hey man, if I lose that plus one 90, I can never live myself and it's plus one 10 now.
05:13Like what does the plus one or six go to plus one 10 plus one 11 or minus one Oh one.
05:19So I don't think we have any things here.
05:20So, and also I understand this.
05:22Well, why don't you bet it now?
05:23If you like it so much, a lot can change from right now to next week.
05:27Did we think that Jalen hurts?
05:28We had injured in a football game.
05:30Cam Jordan would not be starting.
05:31We've even seen in the Superbowl players get suspended the night before of the game.
05:35I'm just saying people get sick that you never, Hey, by the way, big flu outbreak for the
05:39rate for the chiefs.
05:40You're like, Oh, I'm so glad I bet it a week and a half ago.
05:42Well now I can get three points as opposed to laying minus the one and a half.
05:45That's why I'm waiting because I don't think it's going to be a differentiating factor.
05:48That's going to change my opinion.
05:50Even if it goes to minus one 25 on the Eagles, it's not big, that big of a difference that's
05:55going to affect me.
05:56So no, I will wait probably till next week.
05:58Once I get home to finally make that wager.
06:01When we know all of the stakes on this game, who's playing, who's healthy and away we go.
06:06Listen, and if there is that much of a drastic shift that would make the birds a favorite,
06:11something has happened because I think the odds makers are hesitant to make Kansas city
06:16in underdog by any means.
06:18So if that's the case, or even if the chiefs were to rise to a field goal favorite, something
06:22has happened in terms of how this game is going to be played.
06:26I think we're talking a couple of cents either which way, but ultimately Donnie, we both
06:30agreed.
06:31The chiefs are going to be a slight favorite.
06:33By the time we get to Superbowl Sunday in new Orleans, all right, you have the Eagles
06:39winning Superbowl 59, which more than likely means a player on the birds is going to win
06:44the individual hardware in the Superbowl MVP award.
06:49Who is it?
06:50It's going to be Saquon Barkley in this game.
06:52I believe that one of the, like all throughout the season, you watch him being the catalyst
06:56of the Philadelphia Eagles offense.
06:58And now you're getting into a game where once again, you're not worried about, man, we'll
07:02Saquon Barkley just can't cut on this grass.
07:04He's falling down at this point.
07:05One of the best jump cuts in the history of the sport, which you saw twice on display
07:10with his touchdown runs here on the goal line, which means I run into the middle, I hop skip
07:15to the outside, to the right, nobody can catch me.
07:18That means extra touchdown chances for Saquon Barkley.
07:20I think there's a legitimate chance he gets two touchdowns in this game, which means if
07:23he gets anything more than 75 yards rushing with those two touchdowns and they win, he
07:29is going to win the MVP award in this game.
07:31So for me, it's Saquon Barkley plus 280, multiple touchdowns, having a solid performance,
07:37if not historic performance on a historic season for him as a running back.
07:42We'll talk more about the individuals and Donnie's favorite prop for Super Bowl 59 in
07:46just a moment.
07:48Is there a pathway for the Eagles to win the Lombardi trophy that does not feature a big
07:53game from Saquon Barkley?
07:54Perhaps, right?
07:55It could be low scoring.
07:56Jalen Hurts could be generational.
07:59But if you believe Philly is going to win, Saquon Barkley is going to be a huge factor
08:03as he has been in every single game during his first year in Philadelphia.
08:08At least 118 rushing yards in all three postseason victories for the Eagles this year.
08:14And the Chiefs are great up front.
08:16Let's not mince words.
08:17They are.
08:18But James Cook, still in a big day, 13 carries, 85 yards, two rushing scores, and almost 50
08:24as a receiver out of the backfield as well.
08:27And Donnie, let's not forget, this is a narrative award as well.
08:31And Saquon Barkley, who we all consider an MVP, frontrunner, and true contender with
08:36a record-setting and historic regular season, that's going to carry over in the mind of
08:41the writers who vote on who wins Super Bowl 59's MVP.
08:47If you think the Eagles win, I agree, Donnie.
08:49I think the best bet right now from the MVP perspective is Saquon.
08:52Yeah, and also, you brought up a good point here.
08:55Miles Sanders, one of the best backs in football a few years ago when the Eagles played.
08:58He was insignificant in that Super Bowl, and Jalen Hurts was the major catalyst.
09:02So he does have an M.O. for stepping up in the biggest games, but you got Saquon Barkley
09:06on turf with two weeks of rest, and I think he's going to look pretty good in the Super
09:10Bowl.
09:11And again, if Jalen Hurts' generational leads Philadelphia to the win, great.
09:15You're not expecting that at this moment, but what are we expecting out of Hurts?
09:21We continue with Donnie's pick six for Super Bowl 59, as today is his last day on the early
09:28line this football season before he heads to New Orleans over the weekend.
09:34So DRS, we were just talking about it.
09:36You think the Eagles win Super Bowl 59.
09:39You have explained why, as one of the most unbiased men in sports media.
09:44Saquon Barkley, thus, if the Birds are going to win a Lombardi Trophy, to have his own
09:49individual hardware as Super Bowl 59's MVP winner.
09:53But now your favorite prompt, pathway to a victory.
09:57How do the Eagles get it done?
09:59Donnie, what do the Birds need out of Jalen Hurts two weeks from now?
10:04Same thing we saw out of him in his last performance against the Washington Commanders.
10:07Now, it's a much better defense, but understand this, how football is supposed to happen.
10:11We always joke about like, hey, well, all they got to do is take away Saquon Barkley
10:15and see, stop it, man.
10:16Everybody would take away Patrick Mahomes every game and you get the point in this.
10:19You can't do that.
10:21You're going to get big gains here by Saquon Barkley because just because he's a good back
10:24and that's what he does and has done all season.
10:26But understand this, in order to beat Kansas City and, you know, Steve Spagnuolo, you are
10:31going to have to have a balanced attack and we're not talking about, well, that means
10:34Saquon for a buck 30 and that means Jalen Hurts for 330 and that means he throws four
10:38touchdown passes and Saquon scores two and it's a shootout.
10:41We're just saying being competent, like we saw a number in the last game, which I took
10:44over 179 and a half on Jalen Hurts that was treating him even with somewhat of a bum leg,
10:49like he was Justin Fields in the Chicago Bears and he's never threw a football before.
10:53I understand that you've seen some games this year where Jalen Hurts hasn't thrown for a
10:56lot of yards.
10:57That's because the Eagles are the most devastating rushing attack in the sport.
11:00So now you're going up against a team that has a very good defense that the last time
11:04you saw this decent defense, you torched in the Super Bowl.
11:08Again, not asking for 275 plus yards, but 210 for Jalen Hurts.
11:12Honestly, you leave this football game and go, hey, Jalen Hurts threw for 215.
11:16That's not a great game.
11:17That's a mediocre game there and that still hits that 210 number.
11:20I'm just looking for a balanced attack in a game, Ben, that's supposed to have 50 points
11:24from the odds makers, which means the Eagles and the Chiefs should somewhere come around
11:2824 to 25 points.
11:30You're going to have to throw the football, 210's not a lot.
11:33He should be able to get that Jalen Hurts over 210 and a half pass yards here.
11:36In his first Super Bowl appearance two years ago against this very same team, the defense
11:41gets better now than it was in 2022 for KC, but Jalen Hurts, 28 of 37, 304 passing yards,
11:49a touchdown with the Eagles leading rusher, 15 total carries, 70 rushing yards, three
11:55scores.
11:56One of two guys in a Super Bowl ever to have three rushing touchdowns in a single game.
12:02He was generational.
12:03He was historic.
12:04Do they need that this time around?
12:06Are we expecting the same performance?
12:09Probably not.
12:11Do they need a lot out of Jalen Hurts?
12:12Still yes, because Don, we talked about a pathway for Saquon Barkley.
12:16I still think it would be more likely if Saquon were to go over his numbers in Hurts under
12:22all of his, I still favor Kansas City.
12:25If Saquon were to stay under because what his numbers are in Hurts goes over, then there's
12:30still a pathway for the Eagles to be triumphant in New Orleans.
12:35Your favorite touchdown score.
12:37You've got two guys in minus money, Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts at minus 115.
12:43So who do you like best to hit pay dirt in New Orleans?
12:46Yeah.
12:47Price appropriate, right?
12:48That's what we're going for here.
12:49Do I think Saquon Barkley probably scores a touchdown?
12:51Yes, but it is minus 190.
12:53If you take a look at Jalen Hurts, who probably will score a touchdown, he's still minus money
12:56as well.
12:57But if I'm looking at the way the Kansas City Chiefs operate, seems like Kareem Hunt is getting
13:01those goal line carries a little bit more than Isaiah Pacheco.
13:04And again, if we're looking at the Chiefs with a team total around 25 points, you're
13:07looking at least three touchdowns.
13:09Sure.
13:10Mahomes can throw two.
13:11Absolutely.
13:12As he thrown a lot of touchdown passes, you know, three, four, five, six.
13:14No, that's not the old Patrick Mahomes.
13:15They're more steady in the red zone running the football.
13:18I think Kareem Hunt still has a pretty good price here at a plus 130 to find pay dirt.
13:22I would love for the Philadelphia Eagles to shut up the Kansas City Chiefs.
13:25That's not going to happen.
13:26They'll move the football.
13:27They'll make plays.
13:28They'll be in the red zone.
13:29And Kareem Hunt's a pretty good addition inside the five yard line, seemingly where Pacheco
13:33used to own all of those carries.
13:35That's not the case anymore.
13:36Kansas City.
13:37Give me Kareem Hunt plus 130 to score.
13:39Isaiah Pacheco was such a factor in Super Bowl 57, 15 carries, 76 yards.
13:44A score really emerged toward the tail end of what was his rookie season.
13:49The seventh round draft pick out of Rutgers.
13:51You thought, oh my God, the Chiefs did it again, a discount on a rookie running back
13:55salary for this guy that is going to be their bell cow for years to come.
13:59Of course, a significant ankle injury earlier in the year.
14:03We thought it might sideline him for the entirety of the season.
14:06The fact that Pacheco was back and playing is notable.
14:09Kareem Hunt is that guy, leading Russia for Kansas City in each of their two playoff games.
14:13The most attempts on the ground in each of the two playoff wins so far and a rushing
14:18score.
14:19I like the look, DRS.
14:20Your X factor for the big easy in Super Bowl 59 is who?
14:27As I take that deep breath and say Juju Smith-Schuster, because why?
14:31He actually had a pretty good game in the last Super Bowl they played.
14:33He actually got that penalty called on him against James Bradbury.
14:37And it just feels fitting, right?
14:38Some of these games step up with like, hey, J. Brown, it should be Devontae Smith.
14:43It should be the big name guys worthy on that team.
14:46Gets a lot of looks.
14:47Marquise Hollywood-Brown is going to get a lot of looks.
14:48But something feels to me, just like we just saw last weekend, a couple catches, 60 plus
14:52yards.
14:53Didn't expect that here.
14:54Like a veteran wide receiver like Juju making a big catch, scoring a big touchdown or a
14:58third and seven conversion to maybe seal the football game.
15:01My X factor is a guy that, and again, that's what an X factor is like, hey, X factor, A.J.
15:06Brown getting a hundred yards.
15:07Stop it.
15:08Like you're taking a look at a guy that you don't anticipate having a big game, but you're
15:10like, you know what?
15:11He does have a chance to do something special in this game.
15:15And as much as I hate to say it, it's Juju Smith-Schuster.
15:17Now the easy out would have been who?
15:19Will Shipley, Kupiec, Justin, pick six.
15:21But come on, unbiased.
15:22Let's go unbiased at this point.
15:24Come on.
15:25I like it.
15:26I like Juju that season in Superbowl 57, two years ago, Smith-Schuster was the most
15:30targeted in the Superbowl by Kansas City.
15:33The most grabs for the Chiefs as well.
15:36Last week, only three targets, but two big catches for 60 yards, which you would think
15:40based on his prop for this year's Superbowl, 14 and a half, he can go over in one grab.
15:47I like that look, DRS.
15:49All right.
15:50Coin toss.
15:51Let's win some money from the very start of Superbowl Sunday.
15:55Heads or tails?
15:57Tails never fails, baby.
15:58Come on.
15:59You can't be going heads at this point.
16:00It's got to be tails.
16:01Nobody wants to pick tails.
16:02I'm picking tails.
16:03I'm a left-handed player.
16:04It's what we do.
16:05Tails.
16:06Let's go.
16:07Tails never fails, man.
16:08Heads beats me.
16:09I shake my hand in agreement, but I'm always going tails.
16:13Never fails.
16:14Great pick six for Superbowl 59, DRS.
