00:19The Senate Bill No. 2942 was approved in the second reading of the Senate.

00:36According to the confirmation of his office, the elections in BARMM will be held on October 13, 2025
00:42if the bill is to be continued to be approved.
00:45That's why we pushed for a postponement because there are still issues that need to be resolved.
00:54Some legal issues that need to be resolved.
00:57That's why we were hoping that with this amount of time, we can resolve those issues.
01:04Some senators also expressed their sentiments about the approval,
01:08like Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, who has an appeal.
01:11We are just appealing to him that if we can even make it six months,
01:17maybe not five, but add one more month.
01:21Because we only have two months left.
01:23If we go back, we will be taking it up in the SONA.
01:28After the SONA, we only have two months of work.
01:31And then it's already October, that's already a break.
01:36And then we're tackling the budget.
01:38I don't know if we have time to really pass a measure to give the chance to the people of Sulu
01:46to be able to participate in the plebiscite.
01:49Senate Minority Leader Coco Pimentel stepped down from the plenary to explain his decision.
01:55It's with a heavy heart that I have to vote no to this proposal.
01:59Last time, we stated that it would be the last resetting.
02:05Now, the House has its own version of the Camera.
02:07And it's time to vote.
02:09Both of the two members of the Congress are expected to fix this
02:13in the Bicameral Conference Committee.
