00:00The Cougars have been fantastic in college basketball the last few years. 8-0 in the
00:03conference. They get that big win on Saturday night against Kansas and you talk about signature
00:07wins. I mean Bill Self essentially never loses at home once they're leading at halftime and they
00:12were in this one and Houston comes back and wins. They're just a heavy favorite to win the Big 12 at
00:17this point. Kansas has fallen back quite a bit. It's interesting Houston has not been able to
00:23be successful this year. They've had limited exposure to the best teams. They lost a few of
00:27them early. Great Auburn game they played. Just couldn't get over the finish line against the
00:33Tigers and then they play at Kansas and Kansas basically handed it to them with two really
00:40poorly executed inbounds plays from the baseline. Otherwise KU gets out with a win against one of
00:47the better teams in the country and stays healthy in the conference race. Now it's going to be very
00:53difficult for them to catch Houston. They'll still think Iowa State and Arizona are in the picture
00:58but it's going to be tough for anybody to track down Houston now. Yeah I think so and you take
01:03a look real quick let's go back and look at their odds to win the conference in the Big 12
01:08and Houston's just off to this incredible start and I mean is there any value at all Mike? You
01:14think you know grabbing an Iowa State or as you said maybe Arizona now goes on this run?
01:18Yeah I think Iowa State's still in that picture because they're very difficult to beat at home.
01:24They have an outstanding team. You saw how good they were up until that missed free throw
01:28on Monday night late or early Tuesday morning. You saw how good they can be so I think that there
01:35might be something to that but it will be difficult because Houston has had a lot of scheduling
01:40advantage to date. I think it'll get much more difficult for them in February. Usually the best
01:46TV games are held until February and I could see where you'd want Houston on television because
01:53since Kelvin got it going, Kelvin Sampson got it going at Houston, they've been terrific every year.
