00:23Yes Connie, the Commission on Elections and TikTok signed a memorandum of understanding to fight the spread of fake news on social media apps and to promote a clean and fair election.

00:34TikTok launched an election center where TikTok users can find important information about the May 12 elections.

00:43If a TikTok user types the word elections, the election center will appear on the app. According to Pichi Fader, a TikTok policy or public policy manager,

00:55in the fight against misinformation, they have fact-checkers and rely on community reporting or users' complaints.

01:03It also prohibits the political advertisement of those who will run, even though a politician may have a TikTok account.

01:10TikTok also launched the hashtag Think Twice campaign to encourage its users to be observant in posting and sharing information.
