00:00Hi, I'm Charlotte Lowe. I'm the acting head of school and founder of MyOasis.
00:06We are a therapeutic alternative provision set up in Sandwich and we have now recently been registered with Ofsted,
00:14so we're now a specialist independent school. We work with young people who are disengaged in education for various reasons.
00:22We offer short-term placements for young people to try and reintegrate them back into mainstream,
00:27but then we also offer long-term placements for children who will struggle within a mainstream environment.
00:33Much of our work involves working with them to reduce any gaps in their learning,
00:38while also providing the therapeutic support in terms of evidence-based therapies
00:44to help them learn skills to cope better within an educational environment.
