00:00The humanitarian situation is at catastrophic levels as aid trucks are waiting to enter Gaza.
00:08How is this uncertainty over the ceasefire impacting getting those critical supplies to people who need it the most?
00:16Well, frankly, I mean, the ceasefire is an essential step when it's actually implemented to being able to scale up aid.
00:24But from the very beginning of this war, it has been impossible to get the scale of aid required in.
00:29So the needs, as you might imagine, if you can't get enough aid in, then the needs on the ground have been spiraling.
00:36This is an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
00:39So what we actually need now is we need rapid, unhindered, safe and uninterrupted humanitarian access in order to deliver the vital supplies into Gaza
00:49and to respond to the tremendous suffering caused by this war.
00:52So we really hope that the deal will translate into an increased flow of a combination of humanitarian aid and commercial supplies,
00:59because the markets have to get going as well.
