President firm: Impeach complaint vs Sara impractical
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Jan. 17, 2025 says it is still not practical to pursue impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte, considering that the campaign period is ongoing. The President said he agreed with his chief legal counsel Juan Ponce Enrile's opinion that the county may face a 'very detrimental precedent' if the Iglesia Ni Cristo's implied logic in its peace rally was followed, but called the timing of the impeachment complaint 'very poor.'
