00:00Just on my walk out of Portman Road and it's been a hard night for Ipswich Town fans after
00:10the Blues bubble was burst following three undefeated games in all competitions. Brighton
00:17proved to have too much in the second half here winning 2-0 with the goals coming on
00:2359 from Matoma and 82 from Ruta. It was a hard game in the end with Town having showed
00:36much promise in the first half after soaking up a lot of pressure. Having the best of the
00:42first half chances bringing the Brighton goalkeeper into three good saves from Nathan Broadhead,
00:52Omari Hutchinson and Lim Delap but then in the second half it really felt one-way traffic. There
01:02was the odd breakaway that Town had and West Burns put one wide of the post but really never
01:09troubled the Brighton goal and Brighton found some extra gears to go up in that second half
01:16and made sure that they had good control of it and it's a missed opportunity for Town who fall
01:22back into the relegation zone with the same goal difference now as Wolves who had fell into it
01:30after losing 3-0 to Newcastle last night as a result of goals scored. Looks like we might have
01:39been locked in the gate they're now opening it up but yeah so we go into a home game with
01:49Manchester City on Sunday now looking to pull off a massive result and looking like we need
01:58one as well really with where things are at in the table. There were some positives to take out
02:06of tonight but second half game got away from us as soon as that first goal went in and hard to
02:15pick out many good Town performances tonight I went with West Burns for a Suffolk Newsman
02:22match in the end as I thought he carried a good threat down that right-hand side and did his
02:27defensive work well as well. There was a big talking point obviously with Christian Walton
02:34getting cleared out from a late jumping challenge from João Pedro who did not endear himself to the
02:43Town fans tonight with his theatrics and that particular incident on another day could have
02:52seen him sent off but VAR did check it and decided not to so that was a talking point I've got some
03:00stuff with Dara Shea to come about that and yeah you'll be able to read on Suffolk News what he
03:09says about it but Dara who was captain side tonight was not very happy at all so signing
03:16out from Portman Road now yeah the Town need a big performance on Sunday.
