00:00Federation President John Patrick Gregorio announced that the Philippine Rowing Association will continue their aggressive and progressive goals for 2025 and the coming years.
00:13One of the highlights of their success is the end of Chris Nievares of the 21-year drought of the country in rowing when he was able to enter the 2020 Tokyo Olympics,
00:24which was finally won by Edgardo Mayrina in the Seoul Olympics 1988 and Benji Tolentino in the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
00:32And just last year, it was followed by Asia's Ranked No. 2 and World Ranked No. 20 Giovanni Delgaco as the first Filipino rower to enter the Olympics in Paris last year.
00:46Last year, PRA launched the Open Academy of Rowing Philippines in Ternate, Cavite, a grassroots program that includes young rowers from different parts of the country.
00:59This is one of the Federation's goals to develop more young rowers, including those from the Youth Development Teams and Ateneo Rowing Team.
