00:00A house resolution was presented to the House of Representatives on Tuesday

00:04in which the Paris Olympics double gold medalist, Carlos Yulo,

00:09was far away from the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame.

00:11Here's the full details of the statement of his teammate, Daryl Oclares.

00:16While the name of the Filipino gymnast, Carlos Yulo,

00:20is still alive in the history of Philippine sports,

00:23after winning two gold medals in the 124th Paris Olympics,

00:29Yulo's extraordinary success will once again give glory

00:33to the House Resolution No. 2131 of the Camera

00:37in the plenary session that was held on Tuesday.

00:40Yulo is expected to be crowned in the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame

00:45in accordance with Republic Act No. 8757 that was passed in 1999.

00:51Resolution expressing the sense of the House of Representatives

00:54to induct Carlos Edriel P. Yulo to the Philippine Sports Hall of Fame

00:58in Artistic Gymnastics for making history

01:01as the first Filipino double gold Olympian.

01:04According to Section 2 of Republic Act No. 8757,

01:07Philippine athletes may be counted in the Hall of Fame

01:11who won gold medals in Southeast Asian Games,

01:15silver or gold medals in Asian Games or other regional sports events,

01:20and any color of medal in the Olympic Games.

01:24Therefore, the 24-year-old Olympian who is expected to be crowned

01:28by the inductees in the next Hall of Fame ceremony is very much in.

01:33Based on the resolution of the Camera,

01:36the crowning of Yulo in the Hall of Fame

01:39will serve as an inspiration for Filipino athletes

01:42who are also eager to succeed in their strengths.

01:46The last Philippine Sports Hall of Fame ceremony was held in 2021
