01:09that they will work hard to protect and allow Pogo to operate in their areas.

01:14According to the DILG Secretary Junte Cremulia, they have already started to protect the areas,

01:20particularly the subdivisions that have been reported of illegal Pogo operations in the country.

01:26In fact, just last week, hundreds of Pogo workers were arrested in the barangay Tambo, Paranaque City,

01:34which is not only illegal but also operates scams.

01:37The authorities arrested them after obtaining information from the intelligence unit of the DILG that there are scamming operations in the area

01:45where the victims are foreigners.

01:49Last Wednesday, exactly a week ago, we arrested 400 Pogo workers in Paranaque, Tambo, Paranaque, Pearl Plaza if I'm not mistaken.

01:59We arrested them for guerrilla operations inside the subdivisions.

02:06In Cavite, we investigated two subdivisions that have reports of foreigners and many people entering a house.

02:15We will investigate that.

02:17According to the DILG, Junte Cremulia also ordered all local chief executives to protect and protect their areas

02:25so that illegal Pogo operations will not be allowed.

02:28Of course, they will try as long as they can escape. They will always try. That's our nature.

02:39But if they see that their enterprise is unprofitable in the Philippines, they will leave.

02:44According to the DILG, anyone who is an official of the LGU will be held accountable for allowing Pogo operations in their area.

02:53It's in their interest to remove that. Because if you have Pogo, you have a crime. If you have Pogo, you have kidnapping.

03:00If you have Pogo, you have torture. And it will look bad in the local chief executives' portfolio if they catch you with Pogo.

03:09The BIA is already worried that even if the companies are held accountable,

03:14they will be able to prove that they are helping the foreigners who are staying in the country.

03:20Before the end of 2024, the DILG announced that Pogo operations will no longer be allowed in the country.

03:27This is in line with the ultimatum given by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

03:33Angelique, as of now, there are still many foreign national Pogo workers who are being searched and monitored by the BIA here in the country.

03:45According to their data, there are 11,000 foreign workers who used to work in Pogo here in the country.

03:54Meanwhile, Angelique, in the latest news, the Philippine National Police ordered the arrest of 21 out of 30 police officers

04:05who are involved in the planting of evidence and mishandling of a high profile case involving more than 900 kilos of shabu

04:18that is worth Php 6.7 billion that was obtained in a part of Tondo, Manila in October 2022.

04:27This is after the release of the warrant of arrest of Angelique, Hon. Gwen Calina of RTC Branch 44

04:35of the National Capital Judicial Region for the case of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.

04:42To speed up the arrest of Angelique, the PNP Chief of Police General Rommel Francisco Marvil

04:48and Police Major General Edgar Allan Ocobo ordered the Chief of the Directorial Staff of the Task Force

04:55who will be in charge of the arrest of these officers.

04:58These officers will also be charged with administrative charges

05:02in order to answer and ensure that they will be faced with the punishment,

05:06as well as the return to the service.

05:08It should be noted, Angelique, that out of 30 charges, 2 were compulsory retired,

05:141 was put in place, and 3 were optional retired.

05:182 were dismissed from the service, while 22 are still active in the service.
