00:22President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ordered the Department of Agriculture
00:27to provide all kinds of assistance to the farmers so that the planting season can be avoided.
00:34In his statement yesterday with the Agriculture Department and Economic Managers,
00:38the President stated that the government should not neglect the support of the farmers.
00:44The Executive Board of the Budget Department also issued a directive
00:47to do the necessary steps to help them.
00:51This is a particular time when the budgetary support is given to the agriculture sector.
00:57The DA is confident that with sufficient assistance, especially in the field of rice,
01:01high-quality rice, as well as new technology,
01:04the farmers will be able to use higher yields and productivity.
01:09The DA also said that sufficient support will help to avoid the gap in the distribution of rice and fat
01:15that will give way to the farmers to plant in time and improve the yield potential.
01:21The agency also pointed out that increasing the production of rice
01:24is supporting the expansion of jobs in the entire value chain,
01:28including farmers in Bukirin, millers, and traders who can strengthen the economy of the country.
