00:23Following the 25-minute trilateral leaders' meeting held by President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr., outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden and Japan Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru,

00:37the trilateral agreement between the Philippines, the United States and Japan was strengthened.

00:42The three leaders agreed to look at and improve the assistance when it comes to economy, maritime and technology cooperation.

00:50President Marquez trusted that the Philippines, the United States and Japan could be strengthened.

00:59On April 11, 2024, President Marquez held a trilateral summit in Washington.

01:06Biden and the former Prime Minister, Fumiya Kishida of Japan,

01:10emphasized the importance of promoting peace, a safe and prosperous Indo-Pacific region that is anchored in democracy, rule of law and human rights,

01:22as well as the importance of economy, technology, climate change, peace and security in the three countries.

01:31According to President Marquez, the trilateral partnership of the three countries is a historic success.

01:40In the White House statement, the United States confirmed that the trilateral maritime and economic cooperation was also discussed at the trilateral leaders' meeting.
