00:00The Senate has ratified the Reciprocal Access Agreement between the Philippines and Japan.
00:06The Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, Kazuya Endo, thanked the Senate.

00:15Eleven Senators voted in favor of the resolution to ratify the Reciprocal Access Agreement between the Philippines and Japan
00:23that will strengthen and strengthen the defense cooperation of the two countries.
00:27Under the committee report, the Senate agreed that the military cooperation and exercises will be stronger.
00:34For the Senators, this agreement is welcome.
00:37Thank you very much to our fellow Senators for your support to our new RAA.
00:48It will be remembered, Mr. President, in history as one of the highlights of our diplomatic partnership
00:55which now spans almost seven decades.
00:58The RAA not only facilitates joint military training, disaster response, and humanitarian operations,
01:07but also fortifies our commitment to regional peace and stability.
01:12According to the Department of National Defense,
01:14having a collaborative partnership with their like-minded nations is important
01:20in order to strengthen the ability of the Philippines to defend itself.
01:24The RAA and Japan confirmed the commitment of the Philippines
01:29for peace, security, and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
01:34Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, Kazuya Endo, thanked the Senate.
01:38The two countries have long been allied as strategic partners.
