00:00At the same time, the government's security cluster was confronted by the Senate's request regarding the former President Rodrigo Duterte's ICC case.

01:28But Justice Secretary Boeing Remulia argued that there is no jurisdiction of the ICC in our country.

01:35But he explained about the International Humanitarian Law.

01:40As non-members of the ICC, and as a state, the ICC has no jurisdiction over us as a country.

01:47But over the individuals who may have committed crimes that violate International Humanitarian Law.

01:53That is a universal value being held by the whole world today.

01:58That people cannot cross borders and hide behind boundaries so that they can run away from the law.

02:06International Humanitarian Law is something adopted.

02:08The principles are adopted by more than 150 countries throughout the world.

02:12He also suggested that we talk to the ICC and the allegation of kidnapping.

02:17The DOJ also defended the legality of the arrest.

02:21Whatever relationship we have.

02:24It's an arm's length basis, meaning very transparent if ever.

03:08Through DILG, Duterte was given a chance to use his legal remedy.
