00:00In front of the Food Security and Economic Cooperation Summit,
00:05President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:07has strengthened the relationship between the Philippines, Canada, and the World Trade Organization
00:12for trade and commerce.

00:19The Philippines has strengthened the trade partnership between Canada and other members of the World Trade Organization.
00:27This is followed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s assistance to the Director of the WTO.
00:34President Marcos has developed major plans to strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and other members of the World Trade Organization for trade and commerce.
00:44Based on the Philippine Development Plan,
00:46as part of the government's goals,
00:49the proliferation of products sold in the trade market
00:55The Philippines is also positioning the country as the primary supplier of services.
01:01These steps reflect the growing economy of the Philippines,
01:07which reached a 6% annual growth rate,
01:10which is what the WTO described.
01:13The WTO Director-Finance Secretary Ralph Recto,
01:19Agriculture Chief Francisco T. Laurel, Jr.,
01:22and Trade and Industry Secretary Christina Roque.
01:25The strengthening of the partnership between the Philippines and the WTO is important.
01:29The so-called institution is the one that establishes the balance of power in trade.
01:35This is also what ensures justice and a good trade partnership
01:40so that the purchase of products and services is open.
01:45Under the leadership of President Marcos,
01:48the Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade, and Economic Development,
01:53the President assured that everything is being done to make the Philippines a business and investment-friendly country
02:00and to become a leading investment hub.
02:02The President's Create More Act is in effect here.
02:06It includes incentives for foreign and local investors.
02:13The Team Canada Trade Mission in the Philippines has 300 delegates
02:18who are made up of 180 companies.
02:21In their visit, they expect new partnerships
02:25and new opportunities for work for the Filipinos.
