00:00has gone there, the step towards this would be taken.
00:04As far as the lack of coordination is concerned which you have brought out, I just wish to
00:08assure you there is absolutely no lack of coordination but we have to understand that
00:14which side is where.
00:16When this problem occurred in May 2023, the police from various communities, it was very
00:23difficult for them to go to the different community area.
00:27So thereafter the DGP had issued the orders that you go to the nearest police station
00:33to whichever community you belong to so that at least you take on those duties.
00:37So once you take on those duties, you will find that Indian Army, Assam Rifles and the
00:44other CAPFs, we have to coordinate with those people in whichever area they are.
00:50So it's not a lack of coordination, rather these three agencies are the only ones which
00:54are able to provide the coordination as of today.
01:01As far as external dimensions are concerned, external dimensions cannot be ruled out, it's
01:07all over the media, so I will just leave it at that.
01:10Now what happens as far as the Myanmar side is concerned?
01:14Since there is some activities taking place on the Myanmar side and it is claimed that
01:19the rebel groups are fighting with the Myanmar Army or the Tatmadaw, as a result there is
01:27a migration which is taking place or the influx of refugees which is taking place.
01:33Even there was a time when the soldiers from the other side had walked up this side.
01:38We have made sure that all those who are coming here should be treated as refugees and due
01:45respect and consideration and harbour should be provided to them.
01:50As far as the situation on the other side is concerned, if there is no support to the
01:56VBIGs, then what happens, these people are also moving in.
02:00Therefore, some kind of a surrender is taking place, some kind of an induction is taking
02:05place where people are coming back and we are disarming them and allowing them to go
02:09and thereafter police is looking after those people.
02:13As far as our connect with the Myanmar Army is concerned, I just wish to assure you that
02:19the connect is complete and we are interacting with each other in due harmony and making
02:25sure that the exchange of information and support which is required in terms of intelligence
02:30is provided from both the sides.
02:33Coming on to the third question which has been given out is 2047 Viksit Bharat.
02:40As you have seen that as far as we are concerned, we are looking at decade of transformation
02:48and why I went about explaining it because when you see the Viksit Bharat or even if
02:53you look at year of reforms, you will find there is a major synergy towards that.
02:59Let me give you few examples.
03:00When we talk about nation first foreign policy and national security, what it means?
03:06The defence diplomacy and the deterrence which is required for any nation to kind of
03:11a guard its border and ward off the adversaries.
03:15I would like to just say deterrence is costly but war is costlier.
03:22As far as the global economic powerhouse, Indian Army's indigenous consumption as far
03:28as weapons, equipment and other things is concerned, we provide a stamp of approval.
03:34Once we provide this stamp of approval, the defence domestic industry thereafter gets
03:40a flip and if you are talking about 21,000 crores today, Raksha Mantri is already announced
03:46by 2030, we are looking at 50,000 crores as the defence export target and as we are the
03:52biggest consumer, we are also the biggest advertiser of these weapons and equipment.
03:59As far as the infra development and speed and scale is concerned, we are working in
04:03close synergy with PM Gatishakti and border area infrastructure which has been brought
04:07out.
04:08Here itself, I will cover the border area infrastructure that we have the empowered
04:14committee on border infrastructure headed by the CABSEC and this committee is working
04:20in a very, very aggressive manner.
04:23Recently, for 22,000 crores, sanction was given for the northern borders infrastructure
04:31development including few tunnels.
04:33Besides, when we had the glow for Sikkim as you are aware, the Sikkim suffered the glaciated
04:39outburst.
04:40That is the time this committee met and immediately authorised the money to BRO and other agencies
04:46to make sure that the recovery becomes that much faster.
04:49So, I wish to assure you that as far as the planning and sanctions are concerned, that
04:55is fastest.
04:56Coming on to the BRO, BRO is working hard, but now...
