00:00Well, a couple days ago, I did Walk 100.
00:03I'd say about 150 people joined me in Central Park
00:07as I walked around for about an hour and a half.
00:10And now we're going on to Walk 102,
00:12and I'm going to be joined by J.J. Watt today
00:15as he gets ready for the NFL today on CBS.
00:19We'll be walking him to CBS,
00:22and hopefully this is the start of something big.
00:24We're going to be doing, while I'm doing these walks,
00:26I'm going to be joined by different celebrities here and there.
00:29I might be a little groggy because I'm a night owl,
00:32and I'm literally up before the crack of dawn.
00:35I'm more likely to be going to bed at this time
00:37than waking up at this time.
00:39We're at number three.
00:41I've been making some good progress, I think.
00:44I don't think I've been below 350 in 20 years at least,
00:48but let's see what it is.
00:56343.2.
01:00Fucking pumped.
01:02That is a very good number. Very good number.
01:05Congratulations, brother. 343!
01:08Break the tank! Break the tank! Break the tank!
01:13Break the tank! Break the tank! Break the tank!
01:17It's cool to see. It's cool to watch you continue your journey.
01:20And you're inspiring a whole lot of people out there,
01:23so keep it up.
01:24The reason I came for a walk with FRAG
01:26is because, A, I have to find out what it is I did to this man.
01:30But more importantly, I just want him to know I have his back.
01:34I think it's awesome what he's doing.
01:36I meant what I said on Twitter.
01:37I mean, the guy's out here inspiring the guy
01:39to just get out and get better.
01:40Last month I was at 327.8.
01:43Well, let's see what I am as October comes to an end.
01:47And...
01:50318.5.
01:53What's a more American story than Frank Fleming becoming a true icon?
02:12We've now come full circle.
02:13A year ago, Frank Walk started with a walk with J.J. Watt.
02:17Now, as the 2024 season comes to an end,
02:21I'm walking with J.J. Watt again.
02:23And, you know, all my walks are hydrated by Body Armor Sport Water.
02:28You can get it at your local 7-Eleven or Walmart.
02:31And they keep me going. They keep me going.
02:34Especially when I have to wake up before the crack of dawn
02:38on a Sunday morning when it's 25 degrees out here in Hudson Yards.
02:42But for J.J. Watt, it's worth it.
02:46A lot of people don't know this.
02:48This whole project was developed by Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.
02:55I mean, when you look at the logo that the Dolphins use
02:58and this ugly whatever-the-hell-this-thing-is,
03:01he actually might be blind.
03:03That's why I call him Mr. Magoo.
03:05Because he hasn't seen a Dolphin game in 15 years.
03:09All right. Well, we've come a full year.
03:13Has it been a year already, Frank?
03:15Yes, it has.
03:16Wow. How's it been?
03:17It's been all right. Would you like a Body Armor?
03:19Thank you. I appreciate it. I'll take a sit.
03:22I tell you, it's been crazy.
03:24You kicked this whole thing off.
03:26No, you did.
03:28Well, but yeah, you've become the first guest.
03:32Really, like God, it started.
03:34I went down to Miami Dolphins training camp.
03:37Walked with a couple of players down there.
03:40I was able to walk with Dwight Gooden, which was great for me.
03:43Mike and the Mad Dog.
03:45And of course, Saquon Barkley.
03:49I wish you would let him go for the record.
03:51You do?
03:52Yeah.
03:53You'd let him go?
03:54Yeah, he's only a hundred away, and it's a Giants.
03:56I mean, come on.
03:57And if something unfortunate happened?
03:59I don't again.
04:00You see, too many people worry about the unfortunate.
04:02I don't think that would happen.
04:04Wait, wait, wait.
04:05Too many people worry about the unfortunate.
04:07So they're being negative, you would say?
04:09Yes, yes.
04:10I'm trying to be positive.
04:11I like that.
04:12I'm trying.
04:13I like that.
04:14The Mets actually had a special season last year, so that helps.
04:19Yes.
04:20Although the Devils are trying my patience with this losing to the Sharks.
04:23I was going to ask you about it last night.
04:24How'd that go?
04:25Not good.
04:27Not good.
04:28They're in absolute, total free fall.
04:30That's unfortunate.
04:32I mean, losing to the Sharks twice,
04:34and then having a player run into the referee
04:38and the puck go right behind the goalie's net.
04:43In fact, the referee checked him down,
04:45and they're chanting the referee's name in San Jose.
04:49What about the Dolphins today, Frank?
04:52Well, it's cold, so that's not a good sign.
04:55No.
04:56But they're playing the Jets.
04:58I mean, the Jets just find ways to jet.
05:01I mean.
05:02Yeah, but possibly Aaron Rodgers' last game as a Jet,
05:05he's going to go out with a bang.
05:08There's no such thing as a bang with the Jets.
05:12It's the Pops.
05:15So how's the year been?
05:16I mean, you look incredible.
05:18It's pretty unbelievable.
05:19It's awesome.
05:21I got under 320,
05:23but then you had the holidays put me back up to 326.
05:26Holidays are the toughest, man.
05:28They do everybody in.
05:29They do me in.
05:30They do everybody in.
05:31But one big problem is I'm addicted to these things
05:33called handicap hot fries.
05:35I was trying to figure this out
05:36because I saw you talk about it the other day,
05:38but I didn't find the context of it.
05:40What is it?
05:41It's a little snack.
05:44Is it like a Funyun?
05:47It's kind of like a dry thing, like a Funyun,
05:49but they got a little spice to them, a little kick.
05:52Okay.
05:53But they're just so good.
05:56You can't put them down?
05:57Can't put them down.
05:58Where are you at with soda?
06:01A little bit better than I was.
06:04I still drink soda a lot.
06:08What's the biggest diet move you've made over the last year
06:11that's been a change?
06:13Reducing the amount of potatoes I would probably eat.
06:17Okay.
06:18Eating a little bit healthier.
06:20Good.
06:21A little more healthier foods.
06:23Completely cut out, like instead of...
06:27I have to use something to help me get my pills down.
06:30Yeah, I hear you.
06:31So I went from using Ringdings to using banana bread.
06:35That's an improvement.
06:39I pretty much stopped using eating candy.
06:45I pretty much stopped...
06:50The only chips I eat pretty much are those stupid handicap hot fries.
06:53I got to try some now.
06:54I'm going to find something to get some.
06:56You can usually find them like in a 7-Eleven next to the Body Armor.
06:58All right.
07:05But...
07:07I saw you running the other day.
07:09Yeah, I'm trying to get that up a little bit.
07:12I mean, I can move a lot better than I used to.
07:14Yeah.
07:16What's your average steps per day?
07:18Well, last year at this time my goal was 10,000.
07:23Now that's my minimum.
07:25Now I'm actually going more like 15,000, 16,000.
07:29And 20,000 days are not uncommon.
07:32That's incredible.
07:33I've hit 20,000 three times this week.
07:36That's incredible.
07:38That really is.
07:40To me that's the coolest testament of your entire year.
07:43Is that you started out and now your goal is your minimum.
07:48Yeah.
07:49That's literally the definition of just start somewhere.
07:52And then it gets so much easier.
07:54Well, what is this now?
07:58467.
08:03I'm going to actually hit 500 the day before the Super Bowl.
08:07No way.
08:08Yep.
08:10So the streak that's walking every single day no matter what?
08:14Yes.
08:15And I had a couple of days which were tough.
08:17Let's say I had a day where I had a temperature over 100 degrees.
08:24And then I had this awful sinus infection.
08:27I tried to march in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Nutley.
08:32It was rainy and they saw my eyes and said that I don't look good enough to walk.
08:38They kicked you out of the parade?
08:41Well, I was sick as a dog.
08:43I had a terrible sinus infection.
08:46Yeah, that's understandable.
08:50Yeah.
08:53Who was the best walk of the year?
08:57Boomer was a fun one.
08:58Yeah, Boomer was good.
08:59Boomer was a fun one.
09:00Boomer was good.
09:01Dwight Gooden just being the emotion of walking with Dwight Gooden.
09:07One episode that has yet to air, it just kind of got like set to the side is
09:14I walked around the Dolphins training facility barefoot with Jordan Poirier.
09:22Inside, outside?
09:23Outside.
09:25And we had to go inside because there was lightning in the area.
09:28Okay.
09:29So your bare feet have been around the Dolphins facility?
09:32Yes.
09:33Nice.
09:35That could be a good luck charm.
09:37No, it wasn't.
09:38Or a bad luck charm.
09:39No, it wasn't.
09:41You saw how the season went.
09:43I'm actually shocked that they actually have a chance.
09:46Yeah.
09:47Though it's not much of a chance.
09:49Resilience.
09:50They've shown some resilience.
09:51Not much of a chance.
09:52Well, I just think that they made so many blunders before the season.
09:56Like letting Andrew Van Ginkle walk.
09:59Yeah, that's a tough one.
10:00He's so underappreciated.
10:02Legitimate defensive player of the year candidate.
10:04Although I think TJ's going to win it this year.
10:07I appreciate that.
10:09Van Ginkle's such a good player.
10:10I was surprised you guys let him walk too.
10:13See, the signing I can't figure out was the signing of Odell Beckham, Jr.
10:23The Dolphins have a pretty much a good receiving core.
10:29Yeah.
10:30And you bring that guy in, who's beyond his prime,
10:34and it's kind of a flake at times.
10:37And it just didn't work.
10:39You didn't fit the system.
10:41I think you got five catches.
10:42Yeah, it just didn't work.
10:43It just didn't work.
10:45They didn't need that player.
10:48They don't have.
10:49That wasn't like a make or break move.
10:52No, but not getting a good backup quarterback.
10:57I mean, Tyler Huntley did okay last week,
11:01but when he played early in the season, he didn't know the playbook.
11:04Skyler Thompson, that guy.
11:09Are you in, out, McDaniel?
11:11What's your McDaniel take?
11:13To me, he tries to be smarter than he is.
11:21He tries to show how good he is, and he gets a little cute sometimes.
11:24And that gets annoying sometimes.
11:26And what also bothers me is the general manager.
11:31He's got to go.
11:33He's been there too long, hasn't drafted well,
11:37and there's just one video that just every time I see it, it angers me.
11:43He's talking at a press conference, and he says,
11:47oh, you're worried about the offensive line, and chuckles.
11:51That just grinds your gears, huh?
11:53Yes.
11:55The Dolphins offensive line has always been a patchwork, has struggled,
12:01and you have a quarterback that's concussion prone.
12:04The fact they didn't get one, a good backup,
12:07when good backups were available.
12:09They could have snatched Sam Arnold.
12:12They could have snatched Flacco.
12:16Instead, they went into the season with Skyler Thompson as the backup.
12:22But they still might make the playoffs.
12:24Which is a miracle.
12:26I mean, I think it's still unlikely
12:31because the Chiefs are playing nobody today.
12:36The Chiefs are?
12:37Yeah.
12:38Oh, yeah, yeah.
12:39They're playing nobody.
12:40I got you.
12:41Yeah, like everyone's sitting.
12:42Yeah.
12:43So we got to have Carson Wentz beat the Broncos.
12:48Yeah.
12:49I mean, I've seen a lot crazier things in the NFL.
12:51No, it's all a lie.
12:52It's possible.
12:55If they make or miss the playoffs, does that change your opinion?
12:58Are you McDaniels in no matter what?
13:01New GM makes the decision.
13:03Okay.
13:05I'll trust the new general manager to make the decision,
13:08but McDaniels will be on the hot seat next year.
13:13But it's the new general manager.
13:15I want someone in here that could actually draft.
13:19I think that the serious questions around Tyreek Hill is going to be around anymore.
13:25Yeah.
13:26Jalen Waddell.
13:29That guy's kind of overrated.
13:35I mean, too many drops.
13:38They play here today, right?
13:39Yeah.
13:40I'm actually going to go to the game.
13:43Are you?
13:44I was going to ask.
13:45Yeah.
13:46Probably.
13:47I mean, the game's in, like, what, six hours?
13:48Yeah.
13:49Are you going or are you not going?
13:50Well, I got to have the guy who sent me a ticket.
13:52Stu hasn't sent me the ticket yet.
13:55Where is Stu?
13:58He couldn't make it today.
14:00Oh.
14:02I don't doubt that.
14:03I don't doubt that.
14:06But they have the talent.
14:12They have a lot of speed.
14:14I like Devon Ashan.
14:16But I think that their offensive line is just such a weak spot
14:23that they just get all these fast players,
14:28but if you can't protect them, what good is it?
14:32Yeah.
14:33And I just don't think they appreciate what it takes to play winning football
14:37and winning football is in the trenches.
14:40I agree, not only on the field,
14:42but I don't think people appreciate enough how much of a culture setter your
14:47offensive line is in the locker room.
14:49When you have a good offensive line who has chemistry,
14:53they can gel your entire team together.
14:55Like they literally set the tone for the whole team in the weight room,
14:59in the cafeteria, like hanging out outside the building having beers.
15:03Like a true good offensive line can change a whole organization.
15:07And I'm a defensive lineman saying that.
15:10I mean, that's been Dolphin's biggest issue the last 15 years,
15:16after the Richie Incognito incident.
15:18And the offensive line has just been problematic in Miami too long.
15:24I was on the field when Antonio Smith took Richie Incognito's helmet off
15:29and swung it at him.
15:30That was a fucking crazy day, Frank.
15:33That was a fucking crazy day.
15:35Richie Incognito is kind of annoying.
15:37He had that nastiness to him though.
15:41That's one thing he had.
15:44But it's just…
15:47Armstead is good, but he's always hurt.
15:51I mean, it's just…
15:55All right, so let's do a positive.
15:57Whoa.
15:58Almost had a real film footage there.
16:02Has your Metro gotten any better?
16:05The train in New Jersey is worse.
16:09Oh, no.
16:11I mean, they increased fares by 15%,
16:17and they're going to increase it by 5% over the next five years.
16:22But that means, I mean, with the increases,
16:24that means that the service and the trains have to be so much better now.
16:27Nope.
16:28On time, clean.
16:29Their on time ratio during the summer was 9%.
16:33That's pretty good.
16:34Almost double digits.
16:36Almost double digits.
16:37How about the public hearing?
16:39Yeah, I went to a public hearing,
16:41and basically just tore them a new one.
16:44That they built a $500 million building for their executives,
16:49and they have $40,000 a month parking for their executives.
16:53And I said, well, you guys won't even take the trains yourself.
16:56You have to have this parking lot.
16:58That's where your money's going.
17:00Meanwhile, the trains are filthy.
17:02The windows you can't even see out.
17:04And it's a disgrace.
17:10Now, the head of New Jersey Trains actually had to resign
17:16because basically they had to throw somebody under the bus eventually.
17:22Do you think you had a small part in that?
17:26Maybe.
17:29Now, this is the last week of the season,
17:33so you're going to have teams moving on to playoffs.
17:37Who's Monday the axe is going to fall on?
17:42Coaches?
17:43Yes.
17:44I mean, I think obviously Jacksonville is probably going to have a change down there.
17:49Well, that team looked like it quit on Peterson.
17:52Yeah, that team was crazy because obviously I was in that division my whole career.
17:58So you see them get the number one pick multiple times.
18:01You see them struggle, and then they try and figure it out
18:04and bounce back with Trevor Lawrence.
18:06But it just seems like they can't get it going at all now.
18:10I mean, Trevor Lawrence had such a bad year, but I don't think they could give up on him.
18:15No.
18:16That they got to bring in somebody who could get him back on track.
18:20But that was the belief with Peterson,
18:22because they thought that that would be the change down there.
18:25Yeah, well, I'm actually surprised he lasted the whole season
18:30because they had that stretch early in the year
18:34where they looked like they were giving up in the middle of games.
18:37Yeah, they've had a rough go.
18:40It was a fun place to play for me when I was playing
18:42because it always meant you got to go generally enjoy yourself.
18:50I think the Giants are going to make a change,
18:52although the rumor is the GM is going to keep his job and Dave will not,
18:57which is kind of the reverse.
19:00If Dave was going to get fired by the Giants, he'll get a job right away.
19:03I mean.
19:04And meanwhile, Joe Schoen, who just on hard knocks came off looking like a moron.
19:11When I see the reports that you see where they say the GM might stay but the coach might go,
19:18I think about that exact clip.
19:20And I'm like, the owner literally sat in the room and said,
19:24If this happens, I'm going to have a hard time sleeping.
19:27And then even worse than that happened, he went to the Eagles,
19:31almost set the record, 2,000-yard season,
19:34and they're sitting there going into the playoffs strong.
19:38I don't know how you survive that.
19:40I mean, Schoen is the one who should go.
19:43Dave is getting thrown under the bus.
19:47If Dave goes and Schoen stays, the Giants are making a big mistake.
19:52New York, like, I've always loved New York City.
19:56I think New York City is an incredible place.
19:58Every time I've played here, I loved when I played here.
20:01It would be so, like, I think it's great when a New York City team is great.
20:06Man, it's just been a long time.
20:09The Jets and Giants, the 70s were a dark time.
20:14Which does it first?
20:15Which team is better first, the Jets or the Giants?
20:19The Giants just need a change at the top.
20:22The Jets are just a culture issue.
20:24And someone's got to talk to Woody Johnson.
20:28I mean, the fact that Brick Johnson is the de facto general manager right now.
20:34I thought you would love that.
20:35I mean, he did.
20:39Oh, should we trade for this guy?
20:41No, his Madden rating is not too high, Dad.
20:46I mean, the Jets are an embarrassment.
20:50And just when you think they hit rock bottom, they bring out this giant excavator.
20:54And they just dig even deeper.
20:59I mean, it's just, the Jets are the Jets.
21:04And they find a way to jet every time.
21:07I mean, it's just, the fact that Aaron Rodgers, in the end,
21:13is going to be a total epic disaster.
21:18It's just everything the Jets are.
21:20It's like a sitcom.
21:23You could, like the Lakers had their show, Winning Time.
21:27You could do that for the Jets, and it would be a sitcom.
21:31And it would start off with the first episode.
21:34Everyone's excited about Aaron Rodgers.
21:36He runs on the field with the American flag.
21:38And then five seconds later, the Achilles pops.
21:41That was a tough one, man, because nobody could have predicted it the way that it has.
21:45Bless you.
21:46Thanks.
21:49Even if you didn't think it was going to work out well,
21:52I don't think anybody predicted that these two years with Aaron Rodgers on the Jets could have gone like this.
21:58So I can't crush them too much for that decision, because they were kind of trying to go all in.
22:02Yeah, you can't crush them, but it's a Jets.
22:08And it's a cultural thing.
22:09It's that uniform.
22:14It's that logo.
22:15It's everything.
22:21They just have been a disaster year after year.
22:28Now, what teams do you think are going into the playoffs this year?
22:31I mean, obviously you'll have the favorites, the Lions, the Vikings, the Eagles, and the NFC,
22:36the Bills, Chiefs, and the Ravens, and the AFC.
22:40What team do you think could be a dark horse and make a run at the Super Bowl?
22:46I mean, run at the Super Bowl, those teams that you just mentioned are obviously very strong.
22:50I think the Packers.
22:51I mean, the NFC North is insane.
22:53Like, you look at it's literally historically possibly the best division ever in football.
22:59So I think the Packers are a team that nobody wants to see, like if you're caught there.
23:03Well, every team that the Packers lost to this year, they've lost twice to the Vikings,
23:09twice to the Lions, and once to the Eagles.
23:13Yeah.
23:15And you want to talk about a team that has a cultural problem, the Bears.
23:21Yeah, yeah.
23:23Yeah.
23:24It sucks because they also got, I mean, I don't disagree that they've been a,
23:29some of their coaching decisions this season were absolutely.
23:32The Iberflug thing on Thanksgiving.
23:37Was he looking at the turkey that you guys were wheeling out?
23:42Was he looking at the turkey?
23:44I mean.
23:45And then they're also stuck in the best division in football.
23:48Yeah.
23:49They've got to play those teams two times a year, which is brutal.
23:53But it's tough.
23:56I think it's a situation where that head coach in that building matters so much
24:01because they're at a very similar inflection point.
24:04Young quarterback, tons of talent, but need to find a way.
24:10And if you're looking at all the openings, like it's, I don't know,
24:14that's another team that I think when the Bears are good, it's cool and it's good for football.
24:20Unfortunately, it's just been so long since the Bears have been good.
24:24I know that hurts big cat, I'm sure.
24:27Mikey too.
24:28Mikey?
24:29Yeah.
24:30Yeah, the guy who's going to be editing this video, Mikey Betts.
24:35Mikey Betts.
24:36Sorry, Mikey.
24:39I mean, that's just kind of the nature of it, you know?
24:42Like if you're a Bears fan, you just kind of know that that's what it's been.
24:48You know, discounting the Dolphins is what I'd like to see happen this year,
24:57I want the Lions in the Super Bowl.
25:00Dan Campbell, who is just a fun coach, the type of coach that any team would want.
25:09And they've had a lot of injuries, but they've played through it.
25:13It just, I find myself rooting for the Lions a lot this year.
25:19Oh, I don't disagree.
25:20I think that they're a team that the rest of America could definitely rally around
25:25and get behind as, like, that would be cool if they won a Super Bowl.
25:29A fan base that's been tortured.
25:31Yeah.
25:32I mean, before last year, they only won one playoff game between 1957 and 2024.
25:43Jim Nance said it on our show when we were in Buffalo,
25:46and he said Bill's Lions would be America's Super Bowl.
25:53He was like, that would be the Super Bowl that everybody could kind of get on board with both sides.
25:58The Chiefs have a lot of good players.
26:02I'm just tired of seeing them.
26:04They just know what they're doing, man.
26:07It's crazy.
26:08They just have such a well-oiled machine.
26:10I'm just tired of the Chiefs.
26:12I like Patrick Mahomes, but I don't want to see him in the Super Bowl again this year.
26:17You don't want to see the first ever three-peat?
26:19No.
26:20But do you think they will?
26:22That's the question.
26:23No, I don't.
26:24No?
26:25So who's taking them out?
26:28I think the Bills could take them out.
26:31Now, the one team that's interesting is the Ravens to me.
26:35The Ravens?
26:36Yeah.
26:37Yeah.
26:38You know, they win every 12 years.
26:40So they'd be due to win again this year.
26:43The Ravens are a team, to me, that when you look at them,
26:48and especially the way they started the year and now how they're finishing the year,
26:52they're scary.
26:53Yeah.
26:54Like, Lamar obviously is Lamar playing an insane.
26:57And Lamar Jackson actually needs a good playoff run.
27:01Because he's great.
27:03He was in the AFC Championship last year.
27:05Like, I don't think people understand how hard football is.
27:10Which I agree with you.
27:11Like, if you're going to have possibly three MVPs and no Super Bowls, that's tough.
27:17But it's.
27:19Well, I think Josh Allen should be the MVP this year.
27:22You think?
27:23Yeah.
27:24In Baltimore, you got Derrick Henry.
27:28The Bills completely rebuilt their offense.
27:31They lost a lot of talent on the receiving court.
27:34And they actually were better.
27:37So, like, I think Josh Allen should be the MVP.
27:40I don't disagree.
27:41Before the season, I thought the Bills were going to struggle more than they did this year.
27:45Yeah.
27:46It's very impressive what they've done and what they've built this year.
27:50But, I mean, Lamar passing, running, like, he's on another level right now, man.
27:59Yeah.
28:00I just think Josh Allen.
28:04And to tell you the truth.
28:05I think last year he had a better argument than he does this year, in my personal opinion.
28:11And I do think that there's some of that ball no lie situation going on where they want to give it.
28:18Voters for these types of awards are interesting.
28:22There's no doubt.
28:24It's not as straight up as.
28:26And if they actually looked at running backs every now and then.
28:31Saquon Barkley should get some consideration, too.
28:34Yeah.
28:35I mean, that's where the debate comes in for MVP.
28:40Anybody but a quarterback, it's impossible to give them to.
28:43Because a quarterback is always going to be the most valuable.
28:50Now, what do you see happening in the playoffs?
28:55Now, we've talked about America's Super Bowl.
28:57What do you think will be the Super Bowl this year?
28:59I like the Vikings a lot.
29:00Like, I think tonight's going to be massive.
29:03So, obviously, by the time this comes out, I could look brilliant or I could look like an idiot.
29:07I tell you what.
29:08If the Vikings go to the Super Bowl, I mean, the fact that Andrew Van Ginkel left the Dolphins,
29:19it just shows you how just like he.
29:23The Dolphins this year have had problems on their down.
29:27They've given up a lot of conversions on their down.
29:30And it's like their defense hasn't had the same spirit it had last year.
29:35And I think that's because of losing Wilkins and Van Ginkel.
29:39I don't disagree.
29:40I think Van Ginkel and Jonathan Gennard, the Vikings' edge rushers, are the two.
29:45I don't even.
29:46I think they're still underrated.
29:47Yeah, nobody talks about Andrew Van Ginkel that much.
29:49Both of those guys are double-digit sack guys.
29:53Van Ginkel has 70-plus tackles, two pick sixes.
29:56I think he has like 11 and a half sacks.
30:00The guy's crazy.
30:01He was that good with the Dolphins.
30:05So, I'm hoping and I think that with a little playoff run here, him, Jonathan Gennard,
30:10obviously, everybody knows Brian Flores and that defense.
30:12Yeah, Brian Flores.
30:14You know what?
30:15He should get another crack at being a head coach.
30:17Would you take him back?
30:19Well, he can't do it as long as two is there.
30:22Yes, I would agree.
30:24That relationship seems pretty far beyond repair.
30:28A dance party this morning, guys.
30:34Love it.
30:35Love it.
30:36New York City, 6 a.m.
30:37You never know what you're going to get.
30:39What time do you normally walk every day?
30:41Depends.
30:43On the day?
30:44Typically midday.
30:47Midday is typically when I walk.
30:50Have you ever gotten to the end of a day and been like, oh, shit, I didn't get my walk in today?
30:55No.
30:56No?
30:57Love it.
30:58What's the earliest walk you've taken?
31:02Other than maybe a midnight walk on the-
31:04I was going to say, don't tell me it's me both times because I'm going to feel pretty bad
31:08if I'm the one getting you out of bed every time.
31:10Other than a midnight walk on New Year's Day?
31:13Yeah.
31:14Oh, man, I'm sorry.
31:18I mean, I did a fairly early walk in West Point with a couple of football players around 9 a.m.
31:25Nice, nice.
31:28Is it hard for you to wake up early?
31:29Yes, I'm a night owl.
31:31I am a complete night owl.
31:34So what's the normal bedtime?
31:361, 2 a.m.
31:38Oh, okay.
31:39What are you doing?
31:40Watching all the games.
31:42The East Coast is wild with how late stuff goes.
31:46I obviously was living in Arizona.
31:49Those games, every game's over by 9 p.m.
31:52It's sweet, so I just go to bed.
31:53Yeah, I just spent a couple weeks in Idaho, so-
31:57What were you doing out there?
31:58My parents live out in Idaho.
31:59Where?
32:00Rexburg, near Rexburg.
32:03Oh, I don't know where that is.
32:06Eastern Idaho.
32:07It's close to Yellowstone.
32:11Nice.
32:13I spent some time in Idaho in my day.
32:15Beautiful place.
32:18Not so much in the winter, though.
32:19Very cold up here.
32:20Yeah, yeah.
32:23Kind of, it's-
32:25I mean, we got winter going here now.
32:26Winter's tough.
32:28Winter's tough.
32:29I mean, it's pretty fucking cold today.
32:30I mean, I'm from Wisconsin, so I'm alright, but it's pretty fucking cold.
32:34You know what makes the winter even worse is when it gets really windy.
32:38Yeah.
32:40Also shoots down these streets like a-
32:44I mean, I was walking yesterday.
32:45It felt like I was walking in a wind tunnel.
32:47Yeah.
32:49Those are the tough days.
32:52Then you get the rain and the snow.
32:53Those get kind of tough, too, but-
32:55What gets you through a tough day?
32:57Because as somebody who didn't walk or didn't exercise much at all prior to this year,
33:04keeping that streak up, that's hands down one of the most impressive parts about what you've done
33:09because a lot of people will start something and then decide two, three weeks in,
33:14like, ah, today's a tough day, or it's cold, or it's windy, or it's snowy.
33:18No, I'm not going to do it, and that's how their goals end.
33:20Yeah.
33:21You have it.
33:22What has gotten you through?
33:23It just-
33:24I know that I got to keep it going.
33:27I know there's a lot that's sacred to keeping it going.
33:30I know there are a lot of people watching, so I keep it going.
33:35Have you met or talked to a lot of people that you've inspired throughout the last year?
33:38Yes, I have.
33:39There's a guy named Don who's struggling with cancer.
33:44We got Aaron who's had heart issues.
33:47These guys have really, like-
33:50Who's the guy, Dan in Milwaukee?
33:53Dan in Milwaukee who's had his health issues,
33:57and all of them are, like, walking with me and trying their own streaks now, plus me.
34:03That's incredible.
34:04Have you thought about the weight of that and what that means?
34:08It's incredible.
34:09Yeah.
34:10It's incredible.
34:11I've actually inspired people.
34:13I mean, I was looking at some old pictures of myself.
34:20Someone put a video up after I gained some pounds on my last weigh-in.
34:29It showed me when I weighed myself during a pandemic.
34:33I was at 469.
34:36Wow.
34:38And I was over 500 pounds.
34:43I don't know how far over 500 pounds I was.
34:47The scale I had only went up to 500 pounds.
34:51Wow.
34:52So I was probably, like, 530, 535.
34:56I wore size 6 shirts.
34:59I'm now wearing size 3.
35:01And size 3X, that is.
35:03I was size 6X shirts.
35:06My waist size was 69.
35:10Now I'm wearing 58, and it's a little loose.
35:15Where do you get a 6X shirt, Frank?
35:17I've never even had to consider that.
35:19Oh, the King Size catalog had them.
35:21Wow.
35:22It was hard to find them, let me tell you.
35:24Yeah, I bet, I bet.
35:25It was hard to find them.
35:27That's incredible, man.
35:29Like I said, like I told you in the beginning, it's been inspiring to watch it.
35:34It's been motivational to watch it.
35:37And to see the people that you've personally affected and the people that you've personally inspired.
35:42And it just shows that with commitment, with dedication, with perseverance through the tough days and overcoming, anybody can do it.
35:51Yeah.
35:52People get to a point where they think it's not possible.
35:54You're showing people that it's possible.
35:56If I could do it, anyone could do it.
35:58Because I was as bad as it can be.
36:00I mean, I was like, I'd walk 100 feet and I started getting winded.
36:06Where everything hurt.
36:08Now I'm walking 5 plus 6, 7 miles a day.
36:14And some days I could even go even further.
36:18It's timing now that stops me.
36:21Nothing else.
36:23And that's the big key.
36:26And thanks for joining again.
36:29I mean, you helped us get this launched.
36:33And it's great that you're here for the one year anniversary.
36:38I'm going to keep going and next year we're going to do the same thing.
36:41Next year we'll do the same thing.
36:42It'll be a lot smaller again, which is crazy.
36:45And I think the best thing that you've done is show people that all it takes is to start.
36:50All you've done is walk.
36:51It's not like you've done anything monumental.
36:54You're not climbing mountains.
36:55You're not running marathons.
36:56But you've made a massive difference in your life by just walking.
36:59So all the props and credit goes to you, Frank.
37:01I'm just fortunate to be here along for the ride.
37:04Well, thanks.
37:05Thanks for joining us.
37:06Hopefully we have a good playoff season.
37:09I'm excited to see you today.
37:10You still have no idea if you're going to be at the game or not?
37:13I just got to see if there's another ticket.
37:15This is insane.
37:17What time is the game?
37:18Is it a one o'clock game?
37:19Four.
37:20Oh, all right.
37:21So you have a little time to decide.
37:23Yes.
37:24It's called the Woldinger's Tale.
37:25So you're possibly going with Stu?
37:28He might be there or his son might be there.
37:32Anything's possible.
37:34How hard is it to hang out with Stu?
37:36When I see Stu eating, like, 16 cinnamon rolls every single day,
37:40I don't even understand what Stu's doing.
37:42He posts so much content I can't follow it all.
37:45So every now and then I'll just see a little snippet,
37:48and he'll have, like, 18 pizzas on his counter.
37:50I'm like, what the fuck is Stu doing with 18 pizzas on his counter?
37:53But then the next post I'll see him on a scale,
37:55like, thank you for joining my weight loss journey.
37:58And I'm like, wait a second, I just saw fucking 18 pizzas.
38:02We did a one-year anniversary walk last September,
38:07and he went to this restaurant afterwards,
38:13and he had, like, two appetizers, two meals, three desserts,
38:20and then he hung out with Jenks' house for a little bit
38:25and had, like, leftover spaghetti.
38:30That guy's crazy.
38:32So here's the question, Frank.
38:34At some point, maybe it's after next year's,
38:36you have to start joining Jenks' workouts.
38:40When are we going to get the first Frank and Jenks workout session?
38:45I don't know if I could ever get to that level,
38:48but I'm just happy where I'm at.
38:51I see his, and I'm like, damn, I don't even want to do those.
38:55That guy's impressive.
38:57One day I'll do it with you.
38:58I can't give up endurance-wise.
39:00I can push a lot of weight.
39:03It's the repetition and endurance with which you do your workouts.
39:07They're very impressive.
39:08Thanks.
39:11I could put a couple pounds on the bar.
39:13Well, we're talking about doing a full workout with Jenks.
39:17You know what I've been trying to do?
39:18Running a little bit.
39:19Watch this.
39:21I'm coming.
39:26Yes, Frank.
39:27The form is strong.
39:33Yes.
39:34One year ago, we were walking,
39:37and a year later, we're running through the streets of New York City.
39:41Hell, yeah, Frank.
39:42That's fucking awesome.
39:43That's fucking awesome.
39:45The only thing is, going downhill is easier,
39:48but going downhill could also give you a face plant.
39:51I was a little worried I was going to do that.
39:55Your deceleration skills aren't quite developed yet.
39:58Right.
39:59You did it.
40:00You did it.
40:01That's awesome.
40:04What's the goal?
40:05We did it last year.
40:07What's the goal for this year?
40:08One year from now, when we're walking, what are we going to be talking about?
40:11Hopefully under 300 and just to keep going.
40:14Love it.
40:15Well, thanks again.
40:16Thank you, brother.
40:21Get ready for the playoffs.
40:22Yeah.
40:24I hope you have a great day.
40:26Yes.
40:27I hope you have a great year.
40:29Thanks.
40:30And I'll see a lot less of you.
40:32Yeah.
40:33In 2026.
40:34Hopefully.
40:35Next time we see.
40:36Hopefully I'll get some more big guests on the Frank Walks.
40:39Who's your dream guest this year?
40:42I still want to get Stevie Colen for the Mets.
40:44Okay.
40:46Dan Marino eventually.
40:47Okay.
40:48That would be a good one.
40:51Martin Brodeur.
40:54I'm a big hockey guy.
40:55I grew up playing hockey.
40:56So, Martin Brodeur.
40:58He's the GOAT.
41:00That's a good one.
41:01I had Eddie Belfort growing up.
41:02I was a big Eddie Belfort guy.
41:03So, there's some good ones.
41:05Chris Osgood.
41:08Mike Vernon.
41:09Mike Vernon.
41:11The Red Wings.
41:12Yeah.
41:13I grew up in Wisconsin.
41:14We didn't have a professional team.
41:15And I also didn't know what a fair weather fan was.
41:17So, I kind of went back and forth with Chris Chelios between the Black Hawks and the Red Wings.
41:21Which now I know that's kind of like the Mets and the Yankees.
41:25Yeah.
41:27So, I know all those.
41:28What's funny is the Black Hawks were kind of bad when the Red Wings had their dynasty.
41:34Yeah.
41:35And then when the Black Hawks had their dynasty, the Red Wings were kind of fading.
41:40Yeah.
41:42So, it worked out.
41:43And Chelios played for both teams.
41:46Badger.
41:47All right, Frank.
41:48Thanks again.
41:49Great to see you, brother.
41:50Thanks.
41:51Happy New Year.
41:52Happy New Year.
41:53Happy New Year.
41:54Thank you, guys.
