00:00The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, or MMDA, is all set to handle various tasks
00:06including the holding of a rally by a religious group and rehabilitation of a major thoroughfare.
00:12The MMDA will deploy over 1,000 personnel and various equipment for the National Rally
00:18for Peace of Iglesia Ni Cristo, or INC, on Monday.
00:22Several roads through Manila will be closed, like Catigbag Drive, Ruas Boulevard, from
00:26Union Avenue to P. Burgos, TM Kalao, among others, for the said event.
00:31Meanwhile, Mindanao Avenue will be temporarily closed to give way to the construction of
00:36the Metro Manila Subway Project, particularly Tandang Sora Station.
00:41Motorists will be given access to Mindanao Avenue northbound Diversion Road starting
00:45tomorrow and a traffic rerouting scheme will be put in place so as to not inconvenience
00:49motorists as much.
00:51While for the part of the Department of Public Works and Highways, or DPWH, it is already
00:56preparing a traffic management plan for the planned rehabilitation of the southbound
01:00part of EDSA.
01:02Rehabilitation work on the said thoroughfare is expected to be completed within the year.
