00:00Welcome to Medea TV and to Rabat for this chroniculture,
00:13since the National Museum of Photography welcomes until May 30, 2025,
00:18an exhibition of the works of the Franco-Iranian photographer Reza Derati,
00:23entitled The Contemporary Odyssey of Reza.
00:26A retrospective that combines images and texts
00:29to reveal several stories and a single humanity.
00:33Reza's works retrace a story tinted with hope and go beyond the act of seeing.
00:39The goal is to make you travel in an emotional and timeless experience.
00:44Organized by the National Foundation of Museums and the Webistan Agency,
00:48the exhibition includes several photographs
00:51that are as many stories in images and words
00:54that create links with cultures, communities and individuals.
00:59During this exhibition, visitors will discover works that arouse emotion
01:05and encourage reflection to build a better future.
01:09I invite you to listen to Soufiane Araoui.
01:11He is the curator of the National Museum of Photography.
01:15He was on the microphone.
01:17Reza's exhibition is the result of five years of evolution
01:22at the National Museum of Photography.
01:25Since its inauguration, we have focused on the promotion
01:29and dissemination of Moroccan young photography
01:32through major exhibitions of international importance.
01:36In four years, I think this young museum institution
01:41has reached what we could call maturity,
01:44a maturity in terms of the number of organized exhibitions,
01:48but also in terms of quality, the quality of the invited artists,
01:51but also the quality of the content we offer to our visitors.
01:56To mark this year's cultural season,
02:01we had to mark the spirits with a major event
02:07to draw the attention of photography lovers
02:13in Arabia and in Morocco in general.
02:18Through these photographs, inspired by the famous
02:21Birds of the Persian Poet's Conference,
02:24by Farid Eddin Attar,
02:27the artist offers visitors a journey through this valley,
02:31knowledge, quest, love, beauty, detachment,
02:34nothingness and the universe.
02:36He guides them in an exploration of struggles, hopes and dreams,
02:40a desire to tell human stories
02:43and to allow the spectator to better understand
02:47the realities experienced by the people.
02:49Mixing images and texts to reveal several stories
02:52and a single humanity, Reza Dehrati,
02:54a true storyteller and emotional walker,
02:58traces through his lens his travel experiences
03:01at the meeting of crossed destinies of children,
03:04women and men who have deeply marked him.
03:08Soufiane Rahoui.
03:10Reza's choice was not fortuitous,
03:14but it meets the needs and the will of the National Museum Foundation
03:19and the National Museum of Photography
03:21to inaugurate a new chapter in cultural programming,
03:25especially in a world context,
03:29very busy, very difficult,
03:31marked by many conflicts, many wars,
03:34religious, political and ethnic.
03:36Reza's photojournalistic work
03:39allows to bring a critical look,
03:42a relevant look on the episodes of war and conflict,
03:47but also on the moments of grace, peace and resilience.
03:52The multiple paths taken by the photographer Reza
03:55for 45 years between war and peace
03:57have led him to the meeting of children, women and men
04:00whose unique destiny has marked him.
04:02Close to each other, to the point of feeling their suffering
04:05and their joy, he recounts their memory of humans
04:08thanks to this universal alphabet that is photography.
04:11Beyond the borders of cultural diversities,
04:14these photographs are witnesses,
04:16they tend to show the smile behind the tears,
04:19the beauty behind the tragedy and the ever-stronger life.
04:22We listen again to Soufiane Rahoui,
04:24curator of the National Museum of Photography.
04:27He was on the microphone of Hayat Ziyeh.
04:29Our scientific committee at the National Museum Foundation
04:32and the National Museum of Photography
04:35were very convinced by this beautiful project.
04:39We were also convinced by Reza's energy
04:43and his desire to bring a new breath to our cultural programming.
04:47In addition, Reza's choice is very important
04:52because what is interesting in his work
04:56is his mystical look
04:59and his human commitment.
05:03Reza is not a photojournalist
05:06who is content to report news
05:10or to cover events.
05:12He is much more than that.
05:13He is really a visual storyteller of humanity.
05:17He recounts the episodes of contemporary history
05:22in our world through images,
05:24through photographic testimonies.
05:28He uses his camera as a peaceful counter-weapon
05:33to denounce the cruelty and violence
05:36committed by man against his fellow human beings.
05:42An exhibition to be seen until May 30.
05:45And some music to finish.
05:47Let's go to Benin to show you, dear viewers,
05:50the Benin rapper Bobo Oué,
05:52who put online his latest EP,
05:55entitled Prelude 2025.
05:58This new project contains 5 tracks,
06:00La La La, Sagouda, Je M'en Fous, Esso, Vibe and 2025.
06:05It is precisely this last track
06:07that Bobo Oué has chosen as his official single.
06:10I suggest you listen to this excerpt.
