00:39Present at the ceremony were Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi
00:43and Datuk Seri Fadilah Yusof, along with cabinet ministers, foreign diplomats and senior government
00:49officials.
00:50Wong's visit coincides with the 11th Malaysia-Singapore Leaders' Retreat, scheduled for later on
00:56Tuesday.
00:58Following the ceremony, he is set to attend the delegation meeting of the Leaders' Retreat
01:02with Anwar.
01:03According to a statement by Wisma Putra on Sunday, the visit will focus on reviewing
01:07bilateral relations and addressing regional and international issues of mutual interest.
01:13Both leaders are also expected to witness the signing of several agreements, including
01:18the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone Joint Agreement, Six Memorandums of Understanding
01:25and a letter of intent covering areas such as education, women and social welfare, climate
01:31change, urban development, carbon capture and storage, and combating transnational crime.
01:37The JSSEZ initiative aims to foster mutual benefits for businesses and citizens of both
01:43countries by enhancing the flow of goods and people, improving the ease of doing business,
01:49and supporting talent development.
01:52Here in Singapore, as close neighbours and founding members of ASEAN, share a deep and
01:56multifaceted relationship.
