00:00Good morning and welcome to the announcement of the 82nd annual Golden Globe nominations.
00:06The first group of nominations will be presented directly following this announcement.
00:11The second group will be announced at exactly 5.30 a.m. and aired live on CBS mornings.
00:18The Golden Globes will take place here at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 5th,
00:24and will air live on CBS as well as stream on Paramount+.
00:28The show will be produced by Dick Clark Productions along with White Cherry Entertainment.
00:34With us this morning we have Emmy-winning executive producer and Golden Globe showrunner Ricky Kirshner.
00:41The voting body for the Golden Globes is comprised of 334 experienced entertainment journalists
00:54representing 85 countries around the world.
00:57Ballots are being supervised by the accounting firm of KPMG,
01:02and with us today we have Filippo Pulizzi-Alebrandi, Michelle Rahn, Sean Cacci, and Christine Abbott.
01:10For the first time ever, the Golden Globes will host a special gala dinner in advance of the live show.
01:22It will take place here at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday, January 3rd,
01:27to present the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Viola Davis and the Carol Burnett Award to Ted Danson.
01:39We look forward to celebrating the lives and careers of these two entertainment icons.
