00:25Filipino surrogates' mothers arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport
00:29from Cambodia after Royal Pardon executed them.
00:32According to the Department of Foreign Affairs,
00:35the government of the Philippines thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia
00:38for the humanitarian treatment provided to the Filipino mothers.
00:41According to the DFA, their return to the country
00:45is a proof of the long-standing friendship between the Philippines and Cambodia.
00:48The two governments also agreed to fight human trafficking and other transnational crimes.
00:56At the same time, the DFA reminded the Filipinos
01:00that surrogacy is banned in Cambodia.
01:04Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development
01:08will provide temporary housing to the so-called surrogate mothers.
01:12DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian ordered their field office
01:16to provide the necessary help to these mothers and their children
01:21under their Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons.
01:26While the Filipino mothers are in temporary shelters,
01:28DSWD will also help them to talk to their families and also help them.
01:34These so-called surrogate mothers are with more than 20 foreign women
01:39who were arrested by the Cambodian police in Kandal Province.
