00:07In the beginning, people saw koh-lugrass as a plant that spoils the view of the beauty of nature.

00:16And we discussed this topic and suddenly,

00:20one of our group members mentioned that her grandparents

00:24eat this akalalang as a snack in their daily life.

00:29We got the idea of the word koh-lugrass from the name of the plant,

00:35which is koh-lugrass in English.

00:37And OSE is the last word for the name of sugar scientifically,

00:44such as maltose, glucose and sucrose.

00:47We did some research and experiments

00:53to extract sugar from this akalalang.

00:57Then, when we performed a benedict test,

01:00we saw the presence of sugar in our akalalang solution.

01:09We found that akalalang has many benefits

01:12that can help treat diseases such as diabetes, chonditis and nosebleeds.

01:19In addition, akalalang is also easy to take care of compared to stevia and sugarcane.

01:27So, to produce this product,

01:29first, we will pick the akalalang by digging the koh-lugrass tree.

01:35Then, we will clean the akalalang.

01:38Then, we will cut it into small pieces,

01:41put it in a blender with tap water.

01:43Then, we will put the result of the blender on a piece of paper.

01:49Then, we will squeeze it to get the juice from the result of the blender.

01:54Then, we will repeat the process of squeezing the juice from the blender

01:59to get rid of the remaining particles.

02:05Finally, we will do the heating process until it becomes a smooth solution.
